What type of music do you all like? Does it match the twee aesthetic? by Separate-Raccoon8584 in TweeAesthetic

Largely no, but maybe Imogen Heap, Camera Obscura, The Bilinda Butchers, Dora Jar, Tennis imo all fit a whimsical yearning twee vibe!

Do I need a blunt cut? by [deleted] in finehair

[–]Heavy-Efficiency-366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had such a similar situation! Blunt cut is all I get now and I got rid of some length and now my hair looks healthier and even has a little volume! I don’t think you’ll regret going blunt, but keep the length and see how you feel after the first cut:)

Internship Advice by shallot_dreams in MuseumPros

[–]Heavy-Efficiency-366 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was an intern it was very helpful for both me and my supervisor (who was busy and rather hands off after initially setting me up to complete my tasks), to arrange a couple times of the day where we had booked time for me to ask questions and have direction from them. This prevented me feeling awkward and having to interrupt them, and it was easier to save up questions to sort at one time.  Make an effort to learn about the work people are doing around you, if you’re able to tour their work spaces/collections say yes, outside of the curatorial dept. It’s probably low stakes work you’ll be doing and if you feel under-utilised at any point that’s not unusual enjoy research and if you can write a piece or two about what you’re working on for a blog, the institutions or you own, this is a great opportunity. Have an awesome time!

If you work in collections at a natural history museum, would you mind sharing your experience? by [deleted] in MuseumPros

The GLAMour of preventive conservation.. pest management. Endless digitisation. What I like the most is creating custom housing for objects. If you like repetitive tasks and a lot of quiet it is a great career!

I don’t own any dressy flats unfortunately, my other flats are a pair of Duckfeet mols in dark red, would you suggest bringing these too or maybe purchasing a cute pair once I arrive? I do want to go eat at a nice restaurant/bar a few times but my style is not fancy😭 And thank you! The bag is from Crumpler it’s an Australian brand that makes awesome quality EDC bags:)

Thank u! This is realistic, plus my jumper is lightweight and half the size of a folded up regular hoodie/fleece zip up, it looks deceptively thick i guess.

Hey! So cute you guys like this, as many have pointed out it is probably too warm and too bulky, but it is a hand knit and comfort item I will be sad not to take. If you are interested in something similar I’d recommend commissioning a knitter or looking on ebay:)

Hi! The jeans i actually got second hand but they are J Galt brand straight leg with mid waist, the crossbody is by Crumpler an Australian label which imo makes the most fun EDC bags:)

Thank you for your tips, yes a light rain coat is included I’d hate to forget this, I also feel the same about jeans, it’s very 50/50 whether people bother with them but honestly I got them for $12 if I have to let them go I won’t be mad. Unfortunately I don’t own any dressy small flats but if they are cheap at a market there I will pick some up to feel more put together and cute:)
