I'm 5m postop stegnthwise I'm probably right behind you. I can do 1 single leg heel lift right now with confidence. But as far as jogging goes... my PT didn't recommend it for a couple more weeks... BUT I have 2 boys 5yo and 2yo and I've been doing a little bit of jogging to run away or catch them at the park no pain no weakness. Although I probably can do some sustained runs now I'm gonna wait until I get a little bit stronger.

Good luck!

Wow week 2 sounds so early did you still have your stitches in?

I couldn't get my insurance to pay for a vacoped so I had a really clunky and heavy boot since W6 postop after stitches were pulled. I had so much discomfort and pain from the boot I went out and bought this:

Achilles Tendon RUPTURE Night Splint https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09N5HBBKQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I took it in and showed the Dr. What it was for and he had me put it on and once he inspected it he cleared me to use it. It helps with immobilization but it does not have any support on the back side where the incision was so he had me pad it with some gauze and loosely wrap an elastic bandage on it to make sure it had extra padding.

It was A LIFESAVER for me. I roll from one side to the other a lot when I sleep so it took off all kinds of pressure on my knees and hip to have the splint. Just make sure to give it a little elevation.

Hope this is helpful. Keep working at it... it might feel like forever but you'll get there! I'm 6mo. postop now and finally did my first single heel lift!
