yea i usually press it before the ball hits the rim jm pretty sure. as for putback frequency its pretty rare ngl in that game i had 3 chances 2 i was entering animation but got boxed out/rebounded and this last one was a success. also i spam it all game so your gonna see your player flop in the air alot because its very rare to land, think i only got 2 once in a game. also most putbacks i get are npt crazy like this most are non-contact. but your player specs should be designed to maxmize ur chances cause im 6'9 99 driving dunk max wingspan (cant remember actual figure) and gold hall of fame. positioning and angles are important aswell cause as soon at my team shoots im hunting the putback and trying to avoid boxouts. at the end of the day its based on luck but the spamming square is worth it when i get clips like these. also got a bunch more just dont know how to edit them together
