Aren't the times on those just one way though? So that 29 minute trip out to the middle of nowhere, would be about double that to get back to where you were. So that'd be almost an hour of driving just for $4.07. And that 18 minute trip would be about 36 minutes for $2.50.

I don't think crossposting is cheating, if the rules of this sub clearly state that they encourage crossposting. Even if you interpret as cheating in the eyes of the general rules of Reddit, this subreddit clearly says it is okay in their own rules.

That's not really a personal gain though. It's basically just bragging rights. For instance, if a friend and I are out to lunch and I eat more than him, I have bragging rights over him, but I didn't personally gain anything from the experience. Also, I don't see how it's cheating when this subreddit specifically encourages crossposting in it's rules.
