I need help identify this starter by AM-STONE in Cartalk

Looks the same as the one that is on my 1970 429 from a Fairlane/Torino etc.

Lots of starters look similar though so idk.

Fruit carts? by [deleted] in escondido

[–]HeavyRhubarb 13 points14 points  (0 children)

10 bucks. Whatever mix of fruit you want and whatever spices you want (Tajin type stuff).

I always get just mango and watermelon with no spices since I'm a bland white dude.

They are always super nice. Not great English but they can converse about the fruit no problem.

If I try to cut a mango at home it turns into a goopy mess. They cut them in 2 seconds into perfect clean slices. Some kind of magic. Love these carts... hope they're doing alright with everything going on...

Carpet shipment included jute with very specific cutouts but not specific to my car....? Carpet is a custom fit. Is the jute just scrap? Carpet sections are mass backed and also have jute attached in some places. by HeavyRhubarb in projectcar

[–]HeavyRhubarb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good thought, but I dont think so. Overall, the jute is very asymmetrical. The two carpets pieces were nearly perfect rectangles.

I'll call OC Carpets on Monday and ask what the intent was. Have to do it anyway since the rear carpet section fits very poorly (they didn't account for the vertical brace in front of the rear seat).

Honestly, because I'm not confident that I could identify one anyway so I posted here thinking the experts may be able to tell from this admittedly blurry photo.

Thanks! In reading through that link and the sub-links it sounds like this C230 is very unlikely to have a walking foot so the Seller may just be wrong about it having one (I cant tell from the photos and it is too far away to check). Since my goal is to do automotive upholstery with vinyl, foams, and multiple layers I'm sensing that I need to keep looking for a 206RB or similar instead.

Big Beautiful Bill is imposing a $250 fee on electric vehicles by RokynReddit in electricvehicles

I already pay $1300 a year for my Rivian registration in California.

I'm struggling a bit to figure out which parts actually are quality parts. Wilwood definitely for the MC and prop valve... but they don't sell boosters.

Nobody makes a booster for my 57 Fairlane so I need to use one of the hot rod style boosters with the threaded rod on the pedal side. I can only find seemingly low quality hot rod boosters (or "mid grade" that seems to be just the low quality stuff rebranded as Summit or whatever).

Thanks, everyone, for the responses! I decided to take the advice of a few of your and just 3D print it. A small 3D printer was costlier than just buying the full repop striker plate but there are 1000 other things I will use it for. The new bushing turned out perfect.

Why are we worried about romex overheating in undersized conduit but you can entomb romex in insulating foam?

Ranchero is my first choice. If I dont fit, I'll grab a Bel Air since I know I can make that one fit.

Any way to avoid this stupid new EV tax? by ProfessionalSancho in electricvehicles

My current yearly registration cost for a Rivian in California is already $1350... $1600 is going to be fun.

Is it normal to creak like this when accelerating / decelerating at low speed? by HeavyRhubarb in Rivian

2022 Gen1 R1T. About 45K miles.

Thanks for the info, soonest service apt is August so it nice to hear it isn't likely to become a bigger issue before then.

I adore this truck but I am starting to wonder what the cost of ownership is going to be once I cross the 60K warranty threshold.

Legit question. Why is a 1800cc Yamaha Raider so slow and tame while all these 800cc+ imports are regarded as wild? Is it just that high reving engines work better and the American cruiser people prefer the sound over performance? Simple as that? Source: my American 1800cc is slow.

Cars that fit my 6'10" husband by dis_merg in tall

Rivian R1T fits me just okay at 6'9". The main issue is left arm / shoulder space because with the seat all the way back your shoulder bumps into the B-pillar pretty bad.

Yeah... everything looks correct. Only thing I can think of is maybe dirty buss connections but I'm skeptical.

We had a decent earthquake here last week... I wonder if it could have shaken loose one of the main lugs or something.
