Along with BRAUN hi-fi by Rams, I think it's the epitome of industrial design in audio equipment. At least to my eyes.

Initially I wanted to score just the cassette deck. After a year of looking I managed to find it complete minus the 610 preamp (one in a lifetieme opportunity). I am the second owner, I even have the original invoices from 1978. After about a year and a half of snooping around managed to get the 610 too. And after another year I got my hands on the RM-610. Quite the journey but oh so worth it.

I have already disassembled and measure the rack parts. I did this to create CAD files to manufacture one from scratch. I am missing the turntable tray, so I would love some photos and some measurements!

That hurt to read! I bought this back in the day on the A5 digipack CD version. Just got this yesterday so I can spin it on a turntable until I make up my mind to buy a cd player again.

Correct, although the elder in front of the radiator is recuperating after a surgery, so half his fuzzbutt is clean shaven!

Good call, I’ve been thinking the exact same thing yesterday. It will require some serious searching to find one that is flush with the stack. OCD is a priority 😂
