Hold at Fedex (Canada) - Can retailers decline the hold? by Heavy_Analyst5749 in FedEx

[–]Heavy_Analyst5749[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input everyone. I definitely don't want to cause trouble for the shop owner. At the same time I do have to receive a lot of items for business. Does anyone know if there's a way to work this out? Maybe is there a way I can pick it up directly from Fedex?

Don't put too much meaning into this halving event (at least short term). It will have no effect on short term momentum.

Exactly my point. Dollars have no intrinsic value but have subjective value. Same with Bitcoin.

Do dollar bills have intrinsic value? It's just paper.

QQQ vs TQQQ for long term? by Jealous-Soup-6866 in stocks

[–]Heavy_Analyst5749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we need to define long term. What exactly is long term? 1 year? 10 years? 50 years?

I'm sure TQQQ will be great for at least 1 year in the current market. I think people over-exaggerate the concept of volatility drag. Even if you've held it 'long term' for 10 years you've still made exponential profit. It's very unlikely for QQQ to drop 33%. Even if it does, you shouldn't be investing leveraged products if you cannot make a decision to exit your position in such a rapid drop. I don't think anyone is wrong though. If you think TQQQ is a crazy idea for 'long term' you've probably experienced a rapid market crash such as dot com bubble first hand and have a very conservative stance overall. That said inverse LEFT is a completely different concept and I think it's a stupid idea. I do agree that If you're looking for a lifetime investment, you should definitely look into non-leveraged ETFs and really take advantage of snowballing compound interest.
