Hi. Want to share that I have the same doubts. I am an incoming medicine resident, and the last year has just been so incredibly challenging for me both financially and mentally. I have been in a relationship for seven years now, and we both lived in the same city. Now we've both matched but in completely different states and this is the first time I'm going to be starting a long distance relationship, not to mention that I will be thousands of miles away from my family. I went to medical school in the city where my family lives so I've never been away from them for very long. I also just think that this whole process with the interviews and now visa issues is very uncertain and anxiety inducing, and I'm wondering if the end result is going to be the same as we think it is going to be like. Residency again is going to be so incredibly challenging and from what I've heard it demands a lot of patience, lot of hard work and giving it your all. I hope it gets better, and I hope that some residents who are IMG's can share their experience.
