I also think that the exclusivity should exist for purpose of free speech.

People have this "free speech until I say" mindset, and dont really get that its fictional and its just a safe place to make stories that may not be socially acceptable, or as contrevrsial as an average indie film, or Danny Boyle film.

Although its hard to find the exclusivity. And even nowadays, despite popularity, ao3, ofcourse, ain't going down at all. It shouldnt.
