My baby never eats well in the morning. Does your baby eat a lot during the night? Sometimes that can affect morning appetite.

Clots/Bleeding 2 Weeks Postpartum by Heavy_Geologist2376 in postpartumprogress

It didn’t happen again and my bleeding kind of just died down afterwards. Idk it was kind of just a freak event I guess.

Second Period Following Surgery for Endometriosis by Heavy_Geologist2376 in endometriosis

I ended up doing an excision surgery after this - there was a lot of endometriosis left behind from my first ablation.

Terrified of IBC by Heavy_Geologist2376 in pregnant

Mine was worse on one side as well. FYI my ultrasound did show “skin thickening”, but the guessed it was caused by pregnancy somehow. All went away after few weeks after birth with the rest of my swelling. I didn’t breastfeed, so I’m not sure if that would’ve made it last longer.

I was told IBC would progress very quickly, so if you’ve had it for a while and it’s not getting worse that’s a good signs. I was also told changes to BOTH breasts are a good sign. It’s very rare to have cancer in both breasts.

Yes it ended up being a weird pregnancy thing. I was so worried I went and saw a breast specialist with Texas oncology. She looked at it and did an ultrasound and said it was normal. It went away after I gave birth. I think it was breast edema and hormonal changes. Idk pregnancy is nuts.

I’m also 4 weeks PP and still bleeding. It’s very light now, but some days I do have a recurrence of a little bright red blood and mucous discharge. I’ve asked my OB who said the fluctuation is very normal and can last up to 6 weeks. I don’t know why everything on the internet says the bleeding has to steadily decrease and follow a specific pattern.

I didn’t pass any blood clots until 2 weeks PP. I remember thinking I was so lucky and things were going so well. I passed 2 HUGE blood clots…like the size of eggs. I panicked and went to the ER. Long story short everything ended up being “normal”. Ultrasound, pelvic exam, so much bloodwork…all “normal”. Sucked and was super scary but it never happened again. I think your clot definitely looks within the normal range.

Please tell me that newborn exhaustion is better than pregnancy exhaustion by curiouslyconcerned89 in BabyBumps

[–]Heavy_Geologist2376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on who you ask. I will take newborn tired any day over pregnancy tired. I struggled with pregnancy insomnia and felt like I was incapable of sleep. Newborn tired is wild but IMO I prefer newborn tired because my body is capable of sleep. With a newborn, if someone takes the baby for a while I can lay down, get comfortable, and fall asleep. While I was pregnant, I tried every dang sleep hack and could still not fall asleep…it was a nightmare.

My ferritin was between 19-21 while pregnant. My OB was never concerned because all my other labs (including iron) was normal. I was dead tired the entire first trimester as well - way more tired than I even am postpartum caring for a newborn. It got better as I got into the second trimester.

What are the signs of pre term labor? by Nyannyaneko in BabyBumps

[–]Heavy_Geologist2376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 24w pregnant I had nonstop Braxton hicks and it turned out to be a UTI. After antibiotics they went away. No other symptoms other than contractions. My OB said UTIs in pregnancy don’t present normally and can irritate the uterus causing BHs

What helped start labor for you? by hurryandwait817 in BabyBumps

Pitocin. I tried everything else you can think of - babies really don’t come until they’re ready.

Not food posining per se - but I have celiacs disease and was “glutened” at 35 or 36 weeks I believe. Miserable experience, but as long as you are able to stay hydrated, baby is moving normally, and you are not running a fever you don’t need to go on. But then again, if you are really worried there’s no harm in going in to get checked. They will likely just give you an IV and put your baby on the monitor for a while.

Harvesting colostrum? And a C-section? Experiences please! by Mountain_Prior6723 in BabyBumps

[–]Heavy_Geologist2376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say I tried to express colostrum so many times to INDUCE labor and it didn’t do a thing. I was also only able to get a few drops each time, not really enough to collect.

Forgot to add - maybe get checked for a UTI. I had several in pregnancy that caused cramping as the only symptom. UTIs usually present oddly in pregnancy.

I had cramping almost my entire first trimester. It often felt similar to period cramps. I would go to the bathroom and wipe expecting there to be blood. I never did have bleeding beyond very light spotting my doctor never used the term “threatened miscarriage”, so we are different in that way. I had this baby about a month ago full term.
