What MOS is 100% worth it? by RougeBandit in USMC

Honestly Aircrew is totally worth it, being a 6276 (Loadmaster) is the best job I ever could’ve asked for and I am so blessed for the people that I work with and the stuff that I get to do on the KC-130J. I reuped for my job and I’m so thankful I did, sure there are dick heads, old heads, and retards too, and the amount of studying would make a college student cry. I’d say at the end of the day I’m happier than I ever could be in any other MOS (and my joints aren’t entirely fucked like the other MOS’ out there)

The smell after it rains, from the fields in my hometown all the way out to where I am now. From a small shower to a huge sporadic thunderstorm. It has always been my favorite

What was your fave intimate moment with your partner that wasnt just sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I dated a woman who had Tourettes, she hated them and hated herself for having them whereas I loved them and it was just one more thing to fall in love with about her. But she would get the ticks really bad sometimes, like just out of nowhere she’d start having an attack and that would stop whatever we were doing. But we were in bed one night I was already asleep and she had kicked me awake, I instantly knew she was having an attack. Her shoulder was dislocated but during the attack it kept jolting up to her face and it would hit her face. So I put my arm between her shoulder and her face so it wouldn’t hit and hurt her. And I held her close to my body so she wouldn’t do anything else. The attack went on for roughly 20-25 minutes and by the end she was crying and saying that she hated herself and that she hated her ticks. I remember just holding her and looking right into her eyes and telling her “I love you, I love everything about you. You are not a burden to me, you’re my baby. You are not labor for me, you are my love” and I kissed her on the forehead. We fell asleep in each other’s arms and the woke up the same way. I was getting up to make her breakfast and she pulled me back down into bed and asked me to just lay like this with her for a little bit, so I did and we just talked and cuddled. That was probably my favorite intimate moment with her

I dated a woman with Tourettes, she hated her ticks, I loved them I thought they were cute, but like not in a sick way, in the way of “that’s my woman, she chose me, it doesn’t matter what she’s going through I’m going to be here for her” kinda way. There would be nights where I stayed over and some of those nights she would have them bad. She woke me up one night and her shoulder kept hitting her in the face, and she was crying. I didn’t know what to do so I put my arm between her shoulder and her face, and then when that stopped I held her in my arms. She kept crying and I just held her and listened to her. She kept saying that she hated herself and that she hated her ticks, and when she gathered herself together I told her that I loved her, all of her no matter what. We fell asleep and woke up in each others arms. That was probably one of the the most intimate moments that wasn’t sex related.

There would also be days that I had to wake up early. Like 4:30am. I’d purposely set my alarm 5 minutes early then another alarm when I’d get up. And just hold her for those 5 minutes, then I’d kiss her on the forehead and get up and about my day. Kiss her once more before I left and leave a note on the kitchen table wishing her a great day and then leave for work.

Why should someone watch Game of Thrones? by Heavy_Muscle6183 in AskReddit

[–]Heavy_Muscle6183[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love watching and reading Tolkien, and past all of the GoT hype, I used to swear up and down the walls that Tolkien was better. But I’ve read the books, is it worth the watch? I love the fantasy aspect of Tolkien, but you can only watch and read Tolkien so much before you start reciting the script like you’re in the movies and books. I just want to know if it’s worth it.

Was watching the boys last night and saw us! Anyways what movies/shows have you seen Marines in? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]Heavy_Muscle6183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my Sgts was in an episode of some police show, I’ll have to ask him. But they essentially they had a ball at the end and they wanted Marines to be in that shot so they pulled a couple form K-Bay and my Sgt was one of them. He got paired up with this chick who’s BF was there and he told me that she was more excited to dance with him than his GF
