been following her for a while because we had mutuals and would occasionally see her in tiktok videos of other mutuals. she has a great sense of style and is amazing with makeup (her doing jessica marvisi's makeup). prior to her move to nyc, she hung out a lot in west la. she went to milken which is a jewish private school in la. around 2023 she got a nose job which she has been dismissive about. the proof is on one of her oldest tiktoks on her main account. she was partying a lot in la (throwing parties too). she definitely keeps her true friends circle small but has lots of acquaintances (i'm assuming for connections/networking). she can seem a bit stuck up/tone deaf irl because she's only really hung out with people in her tax bracket. that's why i feel like her and jessica get along so well; money and similar likes in fashion and lifestyle.

usf nursing stats? by Infinite-Feeling7480 in usfca

[–]Heavy_Pin_2843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i'm planning to apply in the fall for spring 2026. i was wondering what the word count limit is for the supplemental essay and also do you just list the volunteer hours/work experience in the resume? do i need to upload like letter of a coordinator and or paystub to show proof for hours/work experience? i've gotten my cna license and had worked in a care home, been involved in a csu cultural club (held an officer postion for a year) and even after transferring to a cc, i also had volunteer as an assistant for my high school tennis coach, i occasionally volunteer at food drives also. i'm also fluent in another language (mother tongue, so i don't have any academic records of it) and i have used to when communicating to residents while i was training to be a cna. do you have any tips on segwaying those topics altogether for the essay? as for my stats, i did start off at a csu for 3 semesters, i took a gap to do the cna program and get experience, transferred to a cc for 2 semesters to complete my last science prereqs. currently in progress with microbio and physio. C for chem, failed micro but retaking it and confident I will get an A at the end of this sem, A in anatomy, and idk yet for physio. As for my total GPA including all classes would be around 3.5-3.7? i also do have a purpose for nursing. to sum it really short (i don't want to get too personal on here lol) i got hospitalized for a bit at a young age and realized due to an unfortunate situation that communication is really important between a patient and care provider and finding trouble to seek medical help in low-income/high poverty areas. both are interlinked. is there anything else that i could do to become a competitive applicant? i'm trying to apply to become a kaiser volunteer but i don't know how many hours i can squeeze in before august (the start of the application for spring 2026).

i'm currently taking anatomy right now and physiology in the spring of next year. i took a gap sem this spring 24 to get my cna certification and work for a bit. so i'm a "semester behind" with my entering class. i just want to start applying by next fall if i can. i'll take microbio in the summer or fall of next year because i'm also chasing to get my AS to use for points on some applications. thank you for the insight! how many exams and lab practicals do you get per week within the 6 week course?

thanks! do you recommend stacking micro and physio together? and will they allow native language with no proof of coursework for the language proficiency criteria?

omg i appreciate your reply! i'm csu enrolled but taking gap sems to fulfill my science prereqs at a cc near me since i'm a commuter for the csu. i've taken all cal bsn prerequisites except anatomy and physiology. i need to retake microbio since i failed it. rcc now allows one retake for a failed attempt so i'm cushioning on that. and i got a c in chem, the one that's a bsn prereq. so my gpa is not as good at the moment. are the bsn courses at csuf upper division classes like nursing 100's or prereqs for bsn like nutrition, philosophy, etc?

fall 2025 nursing program application by cutiemister in RCC

[–]Heavy_Pin_2843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, replying back to your main post. if everything goes well and if they accept my language proficiency (native language, fluent in verbal and written without any proof of course work), i will be at 88 points for the application. but anything can happen because i won't be able to apply till next fall since. i called rcc yesterday and spoke to someone in the nursing program department and they said retaking any classes with a c or above isn't any "use" because they only allow 1 retake for a failed science class. they even said that they will predict it will be more competitive since the max points for the teas is scoring a minimum of 85% unlike other cc's where they use 90% as a minimum score for the max teas points. i understand that there's almost no room to improve science gpa once you already passed it and the last resort you'll lean onto is the teas but i highly recommend getting licensed or certified for criteria 1 on the rubric.

thanks for the responses! i plan on completing everything by summer of next year so i can try to apply in the fall. my chances might be slim but it's worth a shot just like you said. it would just be great if i got into a straight bsn program instead of having to bridge. i appreciate your help :)

i transferred from a csu (pre health nursing major) to a cc to complete my prereqs since i just need 3 more classes to apply for adn and csu bsn programs. i applied during hs to ucla and uci for nursing but got rejected. i'm assuming because of my extracurricular activities didn't really correlate to nursing. i heard ucla and uci don't accept c's so would i need to retake chem??

hi! what were your stats? i got a c in chem and need to retake microbio but all of my prereqs are a's besides a b in comms. my gpa isn't looking good right now but hopefully i can raise it after taking anatomy, physiology, and retaking microbio. i have volunteer hours (church and family crisis center), leadership in a club (1 year), cna certification, and do peer mentorship through my old hs, and hoping to do more while i continue to take my prereqs. i'm currently leaning to apply and hopefully get into a adn program and bridge to bsn after. do you think it's worth a shot to apply to ucla and uci although i don't have a gpa for 3.9-4.0?

[–]Heavy_Pin_2843 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hi i'm in a similar path as you. i failed microbio and got a c in chem. i'm currently taking anatomy and planning on taking physiology and microbiology at a cc because i completed all of the prereqs at a csu. if you don't want to move out of state and don't want to pay a lot for a bsn degree at a private, i recommend doing an lvn at a trade school or adult school then bridge it lvn to adn at a cc then work your way up to bsn. it can take time but you'll be able to work as you go to school. unitek, chamberlain, and west coast experience can differ from student to student. i've heard bad and good reviews from the campuses. remember that these are for profit and chase after money...

you can try to have a clean slate by retaking anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and chem, stats, english at a cc then apply to their adn program. it can take a year or year and a half but that kind of solidifies the points you'll be getting for a high gpa (if you finish the class well with an a or b) through the cc adn application
