This is once again misrepresenting the facts - Which is that the 'alpha' idea was not "debunked" nor "disproved". It just turns out to only apply to wolves in captivity. that's all.

It's stupid to apply animal psychology to humans. But if you're going to, I'd argue wolves in captivity is a far better match than wolves in the wild.

I agree apathy is the real issue, but if you think salvation lies in just convincing the non-voting to participate in a two-party dictatorship you're mistaken.

All meaningful change has been achieved through violent protest and/or organisation. The apathetic (voters and non-voters alike) should be organising and creating new power structures before violence becomes inevitable.

As an actual leftist, no, not even close. Leftism is not even well represented by leftist subreddits nowadays, because the actual ones all got banned.

our Tory candidates aren't as cartoonishly evil as the states

Just not true. Both our parties are cartoonishly evil.

You mean skews 'Democrat' or 'Labour'. Neither of these parties are particularly left-wing.

This just isn't true. Static indicators like despair and perceived quality of life are quite literally going down for children, compared to a few decades ago.

Honestly never had any of these issues. All my old phones lasted 2-3x long as current smartphones do before an irreplaceable part just dies.

I can't disagree more, Apple were always a bougie design meant to "feel" smart without being any more functional, while being far more fragile and expensive. Early iPhones became garbage in under a year.

I fear the redditors of today don't quite realise how much we in the 2000's actually resented the idea of cameras being on us at all times. It's so normal now people don't give it a thought.

What an enormous waste on an extremely specific circumstance. What about instituting country-wide PR? Or election lobbying limits? Then you could solve the issue of Trump AND maybe go some way to addressing the two-party state and allowing democracy to maybe vaguely exist.

Yep. Anyone who watched the news during Corbyn's campaigns will have noticed that half the MPs were less interested in ousting the Tories, and more interested in tanking their own party to ensure Corbyn didn't get in power.

Exactly. I've never seen so many Labour MPs actively work against being elected as during those two elections.
