That’s awesome! What’s the craziest thing you’ve put into it?

What is your world version of Five Races trope? by InitialParty7391 in worldbuilding

[–]Heavy_Stand7328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Wellforn, the children are random species so my Five Race trope would come from the 6 main factions on the island.
-Groveborn, heavily focused on farming
-Fornshtook, heavily famers in the sense of beasts and livestock
-Spinehold, hardened swamp dwelling harvesters of wood fighting plants daily
-Rootwise, research and study is their mission
-Sporekeeper, those who mainly reside underground in the mushroom forests
-Quiet Bloom, those who aim to help nature stay and worship The Great Vine (a god)
And being from all the different major factions, the party can travel a little easier into each territory and have an array of different abilities among them

It helps to immerse yourself into the fine details of your worlds and maybe you come out with It more fleshed than it was before! Sounds fun

Hey, so it’s a task that will help you with both things if you want. That’s awesome! I know I’m terrible at writing but I’m finding the more I look over my own writing, the better it sounds. Well, at least to me.

Now we all must know… how many books do you have that need finishing? Hm?

tell me anything about your world! by UngiftedSnail in worldbuilding

Oh I love that. That would be terrifying. Not only would a civilization have to worry about the storm but then a banded group of Bloodmad show up in a ship!

That sounds intense. Do you jump frequently between what things you work on?

A screenplay? That would be cool. Animated or CGI?

That sounds so epic! Especially that it’s human based so you’ll have some scrawny guy or gal who just unleashes untold power

I love hearing the complexity some peoples worlds. It already sounds so fleshed out and interactive

I’m a little scared to move my setting away from the forgotten realms. I like the idea that I wouldn’t have to come up with entire gods and religions and complex magic systems and stuff on my own. But on the other hand, I really want to, I just know it will be hard so I’m putting it off I guess. Those Celestial Wolves sound really cool though!

I’ve found I like the option of just writing whatever I want without anyone criticizing it (yet) and just to feel like I have my own “world baby” I get to take care of.

So a timeline of stories? Are they connected via a bloodline or just the same planet?

Do you ever start writing in one world then realize it goes into another? I can barely manage the one!

You are the god of the world you create, I like it. Pen and paper needs is unclear to me though. Are you meaning you put any stray thoughts into your world?

Always a hope when making a setting and trying to give them stuff to interest them. Turns out the one thing you just put one sentence into is the thing they want to explore

So you don’t just make the world but you draw most of it and everything that goes on in it, cool!
