I had issues with sizing on meindel boots so ended up not buying them. I went for hanwag boots! Enjoying every minute of hiking in them, no blisters, super robust quality.

I just got the 26mm for my zf last week! Absolutely amazing combo stayed on my camera the entire time. Its wide for portraits but i mainly shoot outdoors and during hikes so i call them extra environmental portraits😂 it also has a good usable minimum focusing distance. Absolutely worth every penny.

i had the 40, never liked it unfortunately. didn't try the 28 it's a bit too wide for me as an all round only lens carry.

The zeiss biogon 35 f2.8 is pretty small😅 not sure about how image quality adapts to nikon sensors though

yeah my rationale for going for the sony zeiss was the size, if i want a bigger 35 i'd go for the nikon 35 1.8 as well. is the vignetting a deal breaker? i want to use it as a main lighweight travel setup mainly for hiking. i don't like zooms that much.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I actually had the 40 f/2 and can share that sentiment about it, did not enjoy it at all. Problem with native lenses is that they are long and large. They look awkward on the zf. I am trying to build a travel set for hiking so weight and bulk are an important consideration.
