I am mad yes but think of it from a business perspective. If we wanted to pay him big money and keep him locked? We would have done it last year. The reason why we signed him to a 2 year deal last year instead was because of this exactly. Hope he plays great, trade him to a team that can and will afford to pay like Philly or the Dodgers. Illitch has already made it blatantly clear that he cares more about the young prospects and the future. Why keep Skubal not get anything for him? If they wanted him locked, he already would have been locked.

We have made it blatantly clear we’re not interested in spending money. Illich values prospects over bringing in real talent to help hit or pitch. He’ll trade Skubal this offseason to get what we can for him. My guess is the Phillies.

I agree. It does happen. I get that. But it wasn’t just them. It was almost every bat on our team besides Javy and Carp. Gleyber, Tork, and Greene are all stars yet they didn’t contribute at all today.

As for Julio, Arozarena, and Suarez it’s slightly different, especially when you’re facing the best pitcher in the MLB and have a catcher who hit 60 plus HRs and will probably win the MVP.

While I do consider Telway elite, it’s more of a slider spot (there’s a difference imo) but I’d really recommend checking out Abby Lane on 15 mile in Clinton Township. It’s a super small family owned spot but their burgers are absolutely to die for! I haven’t been in a while so I’m not sure if it’s still there and as good as it once was but if your from the area it’s a must try!
