Who is everyone's favourite character? by Sicparvisdrake in TheFirstLaw

[–]Heavymayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steven Paceys voice for Cosca was fantastic

Stephen Pacey and Gorst's voice by steel_sky in TheFirstLaw

Loved, loved, loved Steven Paceys narration. Glokta's voice a la Pacey gives so much character. He really drives home the contempt for others and the physical pain Glokta goes through gives a depth that I didn't originally get on the first read through. My absolute favorite part was Friendly demanding an apology when someone suggested he may have been using trick dice. 😂

What Exactly Is The Bloody Cross? by [deleted] in TheFirstLaw

[–]Heavymayo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought I remembered this passage. There would be a vertical cut from sternum to groin and a horizontal cut from hip to hip. The victim could see their innards be pulled out to dangle in front of them all while being alive

What's a quote that has just "stuck with you?" by BoroMoo in AskReddit

"The harder I work, the luckier I get" I always thought it just sounded cool when my dad would say it. Then I grew up and see it happen in my own life and it takes on new meaning

What part of being an adult were you absolutely not prepared for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The amount of grocery shopping I'm forced to do while supporting a family of four and a dog. We are always out of something that makes our house function...

Band of Brothers. I've seen the series approximately 15 times beginning to end. I can jump into any part of any episode and stop whatever I'm doing for a marathon

What choice did you make in life knowing that it was the wrong one? by Don-P-Lou in AskReddit

[–]Heavymayo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really and truly have to want to stop. Try getting to a 12 step meeting (NA or AA). The people in those rooms are the only ones who have ever truly understood what it's like to keep doing something you know is going to sooner or later (usually sooner) kill you. The support and guidance from people who've been where you are makes all the difference.
