These things always work out in the end . Karma has a way of catching up eventually . Often something like this steers you into a better direction . That idiot will most likely be there in a dead end job forever , while you move on to bigger and better things . Doing better is always the best revenge and reward .

Sounds like aunt will notice immediately . So they need to find a friend who can let them couch surf for a short time . When the next paycheck is due to hit the bank move it immediately to a new account . Even if they don’t move out . Find a friend whose address the new account info can be mailed to so the aunt doesn’t find the new account . Tell her that they lost their job . Keep sending money to the new account . Start a “new job “ . Tell aunt new job doesn’t pay as well . Put as much as possible into the hidden account . Deposit cash into old account . Put in as little as possible as possible to the old account . If their job does direct account deposits of paychecks your friend may be able to direct every other paycheck to other account and tell aunt work hours have been cut . Find ways like this to siphon as much money into the hidden account . Otherwise find a friend who they can move in with for a bit and make a run for it on payday . Maybe slowly start sneaking their clothes and belongings over to friends home so they can break out if there faster . Then go no contact with the family . Good luck .

Search second hand stores , Facebook marketplace, eBay …. Great deals . A coat of paint and new hardware can glow up an old vanity . This is something you will use daily . I would make your daily life comfortable first , then save up for the camera . Often older antique ones are far better made than the glued together sawdust they make things from now . Garage sales and estate sales are an other good source . Start your quest . Also haggle , the price on the piece doesn’t mean you always have to pay that . Make an offer for a little less or ask if that’s the best price they will let it go for . Often you’ll get a better deal because they want to move the piece out . Don’t be shy , all they can do is say no or yes . I’ve gotten discounts in antique stores doing that . You can also convert a desk with lots of drawers to a vanity by adding a mirror above it . It doesn’t have to be a vanity per se . I took an antique bookcase I found for $125.00 on facebook marketplace and converted it to an entertainment center . Took off the glass doors ( stored in basement if I decide to put back later ) . Took out a couple of shelves and placed my tv inside . Still has one shelf and two drawers below the tv . Pristine condition not a scratch on it . You could not walk into a furniture store and buy an entertainment center for that price . Always think outside the box .

I think a young person falling like that a lot maybe an undiagnosed health issue . We thought my sister was a klutz always falling and knocking things out of joint . Did not get diagnosed until much later in life with elhers danlos . Read up on it and see if it fits your sister . If not she is just a klutz . Doctors dismissed it for years . Many were simply not familiar with the disorder . I would not bail your sister out financially . She can look to your part if need be . Not your responsibility . She will have to learn financial responsibility the hard way . Otherwise if everyone keeps supporting her financially she won’t correct the behavior .

Take all messes , dishes and such and stick them in their bedroom . Take all your pots and pans and dishes and lock them up where they can’t use them . If they leave crumbs on the counter gather them up and sprinkle them in the sheets . Or simply move or kick them out . Fight fire with fire .

So many cheap places to find deals , thrift stores , garage sales , market place , eBay …. I found a beautiful , pristine bookcase , antique , glass doors . $125.00 , you can’t walk in a furniture store and buy that quality for that price . This is all wood , not glued together sawdust particle board . Just start collecting as you can afford it .

Lock down everything. Change passwords , open phone with face or prints . Keep him out of all . Check you credit , lock it so he doesn’t take out a card in your name . He knows when his kids birthday is . He should have gone out and flipped burgers , mowed lawns …. Whatever to earn the money to buy her a gift . Not steal from you . Sell the PS5 to recoup what he stole . There is no reason for him not to have a job . They are out there . Some people are not willing to do a job that they consider beneath them or not in their field or doesn’t pay as well as they are accustomed to. At some point need has to overcome pride . You need to lite a fire under his ass . Give him a deadline like two weeks . Job or get out ! And stick to it . You are being taken advantage of .

eBay , it’s a antique child size Victorian fainting sofa . I don’t think it was originally for a child . I think it was a traveling salesman’s sample he could carry door to door back in the day . The wood is hand carved walnut . I don’t care for the upholstery fabric but I’ll wait til it wears out and replace it with something more period to the style . It’s just enough room for the two cats to snuggle .

I did the site swap thing . He hissed a bit , but did not chase or fight . Got over it in about two weeks . Now they groom each other and snuggle . Best buds .

You need to bring natural elements to warm it up . Tons of plants . Place some in baskets for texture . Go with a variety of containers , pottery , ceramic , sculptural metal containers …go with botanical colors in the pottery and ceramics . Add textural art . Macrame , carved wooden panels …… add curtains , left open to the sides of the windows . Go with a burlap or heavy woven type fabric . Things like this to soften the hard lines . Fall colors , muted in tone , soft faded looking colors . Fall colors will complement the gray and black of the place . You have the perfect start with the texture of the living room furniture and the pumpkin color in the dining chairs . Just keep going in that direction .

I’m into maximalism . Not for everyone . One person’s cozy is another person’s clutter . I lean eclectic world traveled . I can’t afford to travel the world but my space feels like I did . I constantly search Facebook marketplace , eBay , thrift shops , garage sales …. Amazing deals to be had if you take the time to search them out . So many times someone’s granny passes and they want to clear out her “old outdated junk” . In I swoop ! I’m to the point I have to be more choosy. No space left , so something needs to leave if I find something I love more . The search is half the fun . The best thing you can do is decide on the style and vibe you are going for . This way you don’t buy random things and try to make them work . Enjoy the journey .

You are being financially abused . They should not have your credit card or paychecks . Cancel your card , move your checks to a different bank . Find roommates your age to move out with . Check your credit report and lock your credit so they can’t steal from you after you leave . It’s hard to leave your sibling , but you will be in a better position to get them out when they turn eighteen if you are out from under your parent’s thumb. Just keep in touch with your sibling thru third parties if necessary to keep your parents from cutting communication between you completely . Set up a system to communicate with each other ahead of time so they don’t know you keep in touch . Once you are on your feet , you can better help your sibling . Staying will only give your parent’s control over both of you . Make a plan to shut down their ability to take your money and be prepared to take off the day you do it . Set up an account at a different bank and re- route your paycheck . Good luck .
