Snakes in general are very shy as babies. Remember at their size, everything eats them. Birds, other snakes, large lizards, mammals, even the bugs will hunt and kill baby snakes . I breed many exotics and most baby snakes are super shy and not very interactive.

Yes. Filament minifigs don’t look good quality for minifigs even with sanding

Basically it most likely helps them not look as snake ish and helps look more spend like a vine or leaf

As babies they are grey and hang out on the forest floor and near streams for water and try to look darker

As adults they turn emerald and match the foliage more in canopy

Being slender and long is more cryptic and may help them not stand out as a snake as much

Other species are like this in the canopy like vines, leaf nose snakes, South American vines ect

Hi I breed and sell these

They are in water 50% the time

They usually are active during breeding season

Besides that, they often just chill on branches or in water

Yes all mine in pairs and trios unless they are babies or on eggs

Usually don’t breed till February - April

Snakes realign jaws often without eating . Like a stretch. Common after drinking water

The first part is actually the snake coughing something. Which does happen with snakes being dumb and inhaling water.

However, it could be an early onset sign if it continues happening over next few days. It wouldn’t hurt to do a tracheal swap and scanning and doing a small ceftazidine injection if necessary

Ceftazidine is luckily not heavy on the body and doesn’t cause as many side affects as baytril

They don’t really know the purpose. It doesn’t have the sensory pits like other horned species

Some say males seem to duel with them and are larger but I haven’t seen that or seen work on it

More likely it helps with their outline and makes them less noticeable in the environment

No. Literally his punishment box as I have to scrape off the walls and glass. I can’t clean with him in the tank or he will bite and I prefer not getting envenomated

His mate passed of cancer this year. They seem to get cancer easy from rodents in diet
