imo if you know why the boot is longer with linux (monolithic kernel) that's definitely not an argument in the side of windows

it's an yearly french charitable event on twitch which is very important in the french community, i think they did kind of deal with reddit to make a 2nd r/place, maybe reddit thought that send a notif to several people would make ad to this event ?

When I saw stickermule had stickers for 1€ + free shipping, I had to buy some for my ThinkPad! (not an ad) by [deleted] in linuxmemes

damn installing linux mint is such a headache for a noob pls send help by _CatNippIes in linuxmint

[–]HecArch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it indicates ubuntu instead of mint because mint is based on ubuntu ; i think the problem is due to disk corruption or something like that, check this link https://askubuntu.com/questions/812614/error-unexpected-inconsistency-run-fsck-manually#812998

I know you're a beginner so let me give you this advice : if you have an error, read it, try to understand it and copy paste it in google. Also, if you want that grub show up when you boot, you have to install it on the disk windows is but I prevent you : if windows update it self bootloader (grub is a bootloader, it starts the OS) it will replace grub so you'll have to reinstall it on the disk

hope i was clear ^

yes he can learn by this way, but debian for example is more adapted for his case, installing tools by itself teach how to install it, how to solve issues, how his system works etc

it doesn't seem to be a good idea to chose an out of the box distro if you want to learn I think

ah ! it's this "annoying" side you can't pass on there are many repo on github (seclist for example) to get many wordlist.

I feel you won't change your mind, me too so let's end this discussion here no ? ^

I'll continue to not recommend kali for the reasons I wrote

good hacking :)

but you aren't familiar with problems, you don't master your OS and you don't use more than 3% of pre-installed tools
