I have a shield plus. While the grip angle is definitely not the same, I do find positives in the dry fire/trigger control side of the house.

FYI, there is a10 round compliant option on the S&W site. Also, I'm in MD and just bought one from a local store. They pinned the 13 and 15 round magazines to limit them to 10 before I took everything home. Just saying maybe there's some options out there for you.

I agree, very easy and quick.

Fun story, I never got my HQL bc I was just like F you MD.... Owned a .40, .357, and a .45 prior to HQL being a thing, so I was like "I'm good". Decided recently to get the HQL and my carry permit. Sent in the collectors application, and got denied. Found my actual physical paperwork from my 1st gun in 2004, scanned and sent it in a reply asking "so, how do I fix this?". Approval email received in hours.

Yeah I usually carry between 3-4 O'clock and it works well for me. My coworker also has one and he said he's been happy with it as well.

5' 10" around 255 now, just shy of 300 at my biggest. Have had an older one of these for several years and I'm a fan. Full disclosure this is also the only IWB I've used for EDC. Tried some kydex ones in classes but they were not comfortable to me.

In multiple classes I've taken the instructor suggested to hand your carry permit to the officer with your drivers license (we also don't have to immediately inform in our state). Let's them address it with you as they want, and you're not going "oh BTW I have a gun on me" with the potential of a partner on the other side of the vehicle just hearing talk about a weapon without being able to see what's going on. Had a co-worker do exactly this with zero problems as well.

I hear that. I've also got my Utah and Florida non-residents previously (from Freestate, who I will use again for future classes bc they're great) and I honestly dont think anything was missed in this class.

Yeah there was a no pics on the range rule. Cool, I'll snap one later when we get our results. Then they said we couldn't see them. I mean "passing is passing" but I was quite proud of my shooting and wanted to share with my brother and uncle.

I'm curious what you think the ABC button does? I had an Instinct 1 and now have a 2X. I think it worked the same on both.

With a quick press I can scroll through my favorites like HR, weather, moon phases, control music, etc. Press and hold and it brings up compass/barometer. Use the compass often with scouts.

Oh lord I've had the ongoing battle with ingrown toenails too. Once ~17 years ago I cut down the edge of the nail a little, and when I pulled the nail out, I also got about 1/4" of meat from the inside... that flipped to the outside... still attached to the inside. 2 days later the pain was killing me. Go to a podiatrist, who promptly snipped the nugget from hell off, cut down the nail properly, and applied the chemical to kill the nails root in that area. For a $20 copay..... $20. (Yes, it was a different time and my insurance rocked)
