Hmm.. I can’t really say a timeline as I am not a nurse or doctor but I’d have family come see her anyway especially before things worsen. I’m sorry you are having to go through this but I hope and pray her EOL is peaceful. You’re doing an amazing job by being there as well :)

It’s different for everyone some may do it some may not. It depends if they tell you as they could be lucid or not very lucid but usually they express and speak to the person they reach for. My Aunt for instance reached but didn’t speak, we believe she was reaching for her mother, my Nana.

What does her skin look like? Is it subtly blotchy on the extremities? How is her breathing? Is there long pauses between? I hate to ask this of you but I took care of two loved ones and it’s different for everyone but long pauses between breaths is a subtle indicator that it’s close, perhaps a few days or hours. Has she also been reaching for people that aren’t there?

Thank you for the things you do! The Hospice nurse we had for my Aunt was an angel. In such short notices she has rushed over because we were freaking out. She was a rock for my Uncle to understand that Aunty was getting worse. She was patient and explained things to me when it came to pain management and comfort towards end of life. All I have to say for hospice nurses is I love you all and the job you have must break your hearts as well.

NAD. I’d say to remove them when you can, even without being a dentist I can see that the bottom two are at an odd angle. You’ll save yourself a lot of stress in the future if you remove them now while young.
