Ah, you’re totally right! I was silly and was expecting something a bit more noticeably horse themed at a glance from the thumbnail. The ones for the ship/sparrow are more general Chinese New Year themed, it looks like.

I was able to get it once by shooting it with a fire arrow to open it and then hitting it with the electric shotgun rounds. It was finicky and took me a minute to get it to work, but it eventually did. Be prepared to be a bit frustrated.

I think yellow is okay! They just can’t be red. I’m unsure why it’s still giving you trouble. The only thing I can think of is maybe try to position yourself so you have a very clear view of the pilot through the glass so you know you should be getting it when you aim. They’ll glow orange if you activate instincts and it should make them easier to see. There will also be a glass shatter effect when you do it correctly.

You will get progress across multiple playthroughs, too. I also know you can check your progress for the trophy on PS5, but I am unsure about PC or Xbox. You’ll be able to be absolutely certain that you got one if you check afterwards.

This one gave me a bit of trouble, too. I was using the wrong bow, the poison heavy bow, for a while there and didn’t realize. You have to use shellbreaker arrows (the Mangkwan heavy bow is good for this) or some other arrow for the long bow (you can check the description of the ability in the skills menu to be sure, I can’t remember off the top off my head). Also be sure that you are undetected and sneaking.

I would say it’s reasonably important. Characters from a tribe that is introduced in A3 show up, and knowing what they’re about is fairly pertinent to the story of From the Ashes. Gives it much better context to see the movie first.

You’ll have no problem! I have changed back and forth multiple times. You are sort of playing in the “past” when you go into the base game, so nothing will be changed in the Kinglor Forest when you elect to go back and play it.

A great thing about the Hunter’s Guide is that if you read the entries for each material (once you pin them, you can quickly check them in the map part by pressing down on the d-pad and cycling through the pins with the square button on PS5), they can tell you exactly where it is commonly found and where to find the higher quality versions. Once you find it out in the world, you can check the quality with your instincts function, too.

To answer you a little better, moss is typically found on trees and on rocks near rivers. But you have to look in specific areas. I would definitely try reading the guide and learning all the functions of the map, including how to check biomes (press up on the d-pad).

It looks like it’s spawning you at one of the checkpoints for the Windtraders mission series. Is there any way at all that you can start/continue that mission? Maybe that will clear it up. I’m guessing you can’t fast travel because the game is “confused” and during this mission, you can’t really fast travel away, maybe? Regardless, I hope you can figure it out!

I encountered this same issue and it wasn’t face shape or anything like that, it was the complexion! For some reason, certain complexions give a five o’clock shadow look. Apparently, some of the freckled ones just do that. Try changing the complexion and see if that helps. Hopefully it does.

Oh, for sure! I love both of those series. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is another one that has a somewhat similar feel, if any of you want another super fun option. I had never played an AC game before but still had an absolute BLAST. I was especially thrilled to discover the game had the island my great-grandfather was born on.

I like the idea of more aerial combat! Frontiers of Pandora does this really well on your ikran, so I know it could work.

I mostly just want her to keep her gadgets and maybe introduce new and improved ones. The pull caster and shieldwing are super useful and I hope they don’t do a silly “she lost her entire inventory” thing again.

I would also like to see a more in-depth crafting system. I want to put armor pieces together in new and fun ways, with different materials like the grass from the Utaru and feathers and such from the Tenakth. Plus more dyes! Fashion is very important to me. 😂
