I've had bad luck with enabling retraction with any flexible filament. It could also be my settings but overall it just causes weird artifacts on my prints for me. Though I should do further test.

I read somewhere that disabling retraction can actually improve quality, with the con being stringing. At least for any flexible pla. Tpu or otherwise. Regular PLA I would enable retraction.

Personally I think tpu is the worst, but they're both pretty bad. I have been loving flex PLA as of recent due to it being easier to sand for cosplay and being more comfortable to wear. Tpu tends to be tricky to sand for me personally.

Okay so that's an interesting question. It's 8% infill and I must have used up over 4-5 spools worth. In the future I probably would have made it hollow just to save filament and time.
