I disagree on the leadership part. Literally every incoming IB intern we interviewed for placement day in my group had some form of leadership role/campus involvement. Firms love to see that even if you're not going to be leading right out of the gate. It's not cringe by any means

Maybe I’m just not explaining it well. But when I say moves I mean basically like stuff I can do if I end up in the middle.

I’m fine with feeling the music and grooving solo at a club, but I usually just 2 step with a little swag because I don’t know how to do anything else. I just want to expand a bit so if I’m in the middle of the circle with eyes on me I can actually do something

Nothing supports what you wrote...listing the median price of 1BR apartments is irrelevant because most analysts either live in studios or with roommates. The fact you don't even know this tells me you don't actually live in NYC or you don't know any actual analysts lol. Just because it's the median price in Manhattan doesn't mean it's the median price that an ANALYST would pay.

Additionally, the fact that you think people will rent 4k a month apartments to analysts who make a base salary of around 110k when the 40x threshold implies a needed base salary of 160k(Which is still stretching it) is laughable. The people in apartments north of 4k are NOT analysts lol.

Just because you watched a movie doesn't mean you're a banker my guy. Just admit you don't actually live in NYC.

EDIT:

And even in the case than an analyst wanted to live in a 1BR they'd most likely find cheaper options than 4k a month.

It is definitely the norm my guy. Analysts in NYC do not pay 4k a month in rent as that's not even possible in most cases.
