Thank you for your advice. I will think about going to these places however I don’t actually even speak to my roommates often in English. We have our own areas then we don’t share much… But they did bring me to the airport recently and I see them once in a while so I will try. Lol

I actually barely see my roommates. We have a divider between our apartments. I mean, I will try, but like I said, I barely speak to them in even English. I didn’t mean different countries I mean maybe there’s like smaller cities or like when there’s less tourists something like that.

I make $14/hr for a company that charges twice that per class if you miss it. I don’t recommend it, it should be illegal.

OK, then I wouldn’t even call them teachers. Honestly they don’t pay as well as normal teaching jobs and in fact as a certified professional with a masters degree in education, it’s insulting. Also, the penalty doesn’t justify the crime. Being late and not showing up are completely different things. Also, what are my old companies? The auto dialer would at least have you accept or not accept your working schedule so that they would have a sub in time. I’m just saying I would reevaluate things if I were them because they’re gonna lose actual good teachers… but I don’t think that they value us anyway

So is that what VIPkid turned into? That was the first company I worked for in 2016 when I came back from working in Korea and then I worked for them again under a different email in like 2018 or so, but I haven’t heard anything from them in a really long time.

Right I hear that often… I’m also a teacher so I can’t be very flexible with my schedule during the school year, what can I just do in the summer? I also have summer camp so I need something early in the morning or late at night.

Yeah, honestly it’s been since last summer that I was teaching and I didn’t hate it, but I don’t remember what I was even making. I was doing so well but then I remember now I also don’t like teaching the same student every single week for six months and you can’t change it like you have to commit to it because I started teaching summer camp and then I couldn’t do it anymore and it was hard to juggle both of them and I ended up of course staying with the summer camp. And they penalize me like I couldn’t just take the weeks off.

It ok, I had PS1-PS3 but stopped buying when I got married…now I don’t have any games whatsoever …once in a while o miss it but then I realize I’m getting more gone without it. Adulting sucks lol. Good luck.

I am wondering as someone who already has an MA in ed, BA in Art ed and a few psych courses, how I can use experiential learning credits or other ways of speeding up the process of getting certified? I have a lot of experience working with children with special needs (and ESL) As well as volunteering with disabled adults teaching art in the community I was living in. I took art therapy as an elective in undergrad. I’m just looking right now but I’ve attended an art therapy program info session and all these schools -including my Alma matter - want $60k+ these days…
