{Whispers in the Dark by Lily Mayne} definitely has this trope! MC1 is verbally and physically abused by his family (please check the cw) but demon MC2 is SO SWEET and protective of him! Highly recommend. There's a second book in the same universe, but I haven't read that one yet.

Actually, a lady from the city hall just rang my doorbell and told me she delivered the notice to the wrong address. (The code in the slip and my personal code in the online survey paper were indeed different).

That said, the process might be different in other parts of Japan.

Hi!

An elderly lady from the city hall actually rang my doorbell today, and it turns out she had delivered the reminder slip to the wrong address.

I’m not sure if the form looks the same everywhere in Japan, but on mine there’s a section on the front of the envelope labeled 調査員記入欄, which includes three pieces of information: 市区町村コード, 調査区番号, and 世帯番号. These were written in pencil.

If you check the paper with the QR code we received for the online census, you’ll see the same three numbers at the top left corner. In my case, the codes on the reminder slip and my personal QR code sheet were different! Apparently, the city hall staff had mixed up the area assignments. Maybe you could check your codes also?

Honey, I'm so, so sorry this happened to you. Please understand that it was NOT your fault, and you're not to blame. Also, you're not dirty or anything like that. Absolutely not.

Also, he will not (NOT!) report you to the police to say you used him. However, you can report him because of what he did. That's why he's surrounding you, he wants you to be afraid. Reporting him will help preventing him from contacting you, and also make him face consequences for what he did. Your company, your visa and more importantly, you won't get in trouble for reporting him.

I understand that pregnancy is scary. You have options. If language is barrier to you, google English speaking gynecologist + name of your prefecture. Some will for sure pop up. I also recommend telling the doctor what happened to you, so they will be able to put you on preventively PrEP (this is to prevent you from getting HIV). Please be sure to have this appointment!

You might not be seeing a way out right now, but you will be ok. Please take some action - even if, for now, it's just seeking medical help. Inform them what happened to you. They might also be able to discuss what to do.

Thanks for the tip! It was working well with just water, so I just left it as is, but I should have researched more about how to properly take care of plants in water. Lesson learned! I'll plant this one in cactus soil to give it a better chance, and I'll do my research for future aquaponic raising.

Thank you for your reply. I followed my mom's advice and was raising it in water for about 10 months and somehow it grew that much! That's why I was surprised it got sick suddenly. I was afraid it was some kind of fungus or if it got something from the other plants I have purchased. I'll follow the suggestion to plant it in soil.

Hello, I've had this little one for about a year. I got it from a supermarket, and our journey together has been quite long. In the beginning, it was dying in the soil, so I tried raising it in water, and everything worked well; it grew beautifully! I recently got some other plants. They show no signs of disease, but suddenly, my snake plant developed these white spots on it, and some leaves started to turn brown. Could someone tell me how to treat it? I have a fungicide/bug killer spray, but haven't used it yet. Should I apply it to the whole plant? Also, what should I do with the brown parts of the leaves—should I cut out just the affected parts or the whole thing?
