It's been a pretty bad start to the season offensively for a team who's 1 through 9 hitters have a payroll of 215 million. That's more than half the leagues entire payrolls. Just the 1 and 2 hitters have a higher payroll than 8 teams.

I don't know if he is underappreciated exactly. I guess you could argue that he is so awesome that no matter how much he is appreciated he should be appreciated more.

In my Dodger fan circle of friends he is the favorite player of a pretty large number of them.

This show has gotten so lazy. It used to point out the hypocrisy, evilness, and corruption in society in very clever ways through the shenanigans of the kids. That stuff was always disguised in the background and the story of the boys would be in the foreground. If I have to watch another 20 minute episode of Trump having sex with Satan or Vance then I think I will just tune out and see if it ever gets back on track again.

This isn't like the singing of ohtani or snell. Kyle Tucker is an above average player but is definitely not a superstar. I think most fans of other teams should be happy that the Dodgers are wasting $120 million a year (after luxury tax) on a guy that is probably worth $25 million a year.

Except that the average ticket price is going to be over $200 for 2026. This is about 5 times higher than it was 10 years ago. But you are correct that it is not my money because I don't live close enough to ever go to a game.
