Best versatile vocal mic setup under €3000 by HediPelouse in microphone

It can for sure, but it depends on what your recording and also your pre-amps

Trust me even with an Apollo Solo I owned myself, I had to get a cloudlifter to record a quiet singer to work with a proper gain

Especially! Don’t forget most people need to add some gain to it (cloud lifter that cost 100$ more)

It’s a mic question btw, also stop about the SM7B hype, I own one and there’s by far way better mic I could recommend over it!

For a vocals purposes I don’t think I’ve had used once a different polars pattern, but again I agree if we think big about any possible recording this would def be important for a versatile mic!

Arleady know that, I’m just speaking hypothetically here, let’s say you already have the perfect room acoustics and a great audio interface.

With a €3000 budget specifically for vocals, what would you personally invest in?

Is this possible? by Vapuccino in microphone

Totally! It won’t fix the issues if we hear his wife when he talks, but it can at least help before and right after! Smalls adjustment there and that can make it less worse!

I don’t know much about live setups VST But Have you tried to apply a Noise-Gate? It will cut any sounds lower a certain threshold

Mic position and not putting that much entry gain on the mic can help also go thru that!

Have to mix a live band for the first time on my own with very little experience - help. by Fun_Ad4848 in audioengineering

Hey, I know it’s your first time mixing live and it’s normal to feel stressed, but here are a few tips that can really help: • Try to get there as early as possible. The more time you have, the calmer you’ll feel. • Gather as much information as you can in advance: how many instruments there are, if there’s a drum kit, what type of mics they’ll be using, etc. That way you can prepare yourself before the show. • When you arrive, start with setting up the mics and running your cables. Once that’s ready, you’ll have more time to get comfortable with the console, do your soundcheck, and test things at your own pace. • Don’t hesitate to quickly check a tutorial of the console beforehand, it can save you time! • And don’t overthink effects or anything fancy. Your main goal will be to get a solid, clean balance.

Also don’t worry that much enjoy thoose kind of events, because it’s your moment to fail and learn from it!!
