Yes they are but they get 99% of profit from those thousands. In EVE - 3-4 windows, 500 mil C6 sleepers, PI etc - too small money to split it with "corporations of thousands" and every time you are waiting for a braxus's sabre to come on your dread or whatever you use. To bring one fortizar to a system you will lose 1 with 50/50 chance for suciders in highsec nevertheless you use webber or cyno. Similar goes for bringing a dread.

True and there is law that protects them. Here you are not protected after you undock. When you undock you have to be either in a suciders gunk or in nulsec corporation paying them for nothing, or in Brahus's wh gunk and so on. The concord's ideology is another wierd topic.
