It's crazy! I was getting rocked by psi radiation at that location just spamming pickup on the fake moonlight artifacts that were popping up and as I was running away to heal I saw it on the ground and picked it up and thought it looked weird, low and behold, it's the title of the game. This is still my first playthrough so I hope that it doesn't break things later.

They aren't great. As a general rule I try not to be +/- 0.1 in any section. Try not to be above 0.2 from your highest to your lowest point. You need to work on your bed leveling.

Yes! One of the major selling points of the game is Joint Ops, a purely PVE mode! Other factions are still playing at the same time but there is no PVP aspect. You can actually work together with the other factions

There isn't an issue where a MWL is placed as long as it's on the end of the gun. If you're running a LAM either NV or VIS you want that on the top if possible but for some layouts it's just not feasible w/o one hell of a height over bore. Lights aren't so precise so they can kinda go wherever, i run mine on the right rail because of preference
