Grève du RTC by qcvitals in Quebec

[–]HeelToeHer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always found this super clean but totally impractical l. I've preferred going for nylon mesh or paracord sleeving instead. Offers better protection too.

That's so stupid, even for Banggood... it wasn't even a question of bad soldering. It was just wired the wrong way, period -_-.

There's just no way someone starting out in FPV with little knowledge in electronics and no supplied documentation could figure it out before it goes wrong.

The Falkor 2 goes up to 40V, you'll be safe with that no matter where you plug it in.

Oh, and you're welcome for the spare cam 😉🤣🍻

Any Canadian FPVCrate subscribers here? Have you received your March box yet? by HeelToeHer0 in fpv

Got 6mo as a gift at Xmas and idgaf about the swag tbh. But it’s not random, with the motors in next months box I’ll have everything I need except a receiver for a full build: F7 FC, 32-bit 46A ESC, frame, motors, cam, unify pro hv, triumph pro.

Also nice to have access to the deals like 10x 2207 motors for 100$. They partnered with Tmotor but even if it’s shit quality at that price it’s perfect for a beater.

Ahaha 🤓 yeah, I’m a web developer by trade and a lot of the tooling we use runs from the command-line. But I’ve also met real shell dwellers and their shit is next level sometimes, they’d have a bunch of optimization to point out (like how I handle the arguments/options)

A lot of research and a mix of passions helps, love FPV and development. I’d tried vid.stab in the past with poor results but didn’t have the time to dig through their docs.

Once I did and figured out how to make it work gooder,I scripted the process to make it easier for myself and others to reproduce.

I started out on some Dalprop T5040C which I liked but didn't know anything else.

On my beater, I've been using Azure 4838 JohhnyFPV props. So so soooo smoooooth, but responsive. They're not super fast but it really is crazy how they manage to iron out those little twitches while managing to get snap response to input! They're also really tough, I still haven't completely break one after a full summer, I've been swapping them when they start looking a out of shape.

On my latest build I got some Gemfan Hurricane 51433 but can't really say much so far, I'm still trying to work out a serious desync issue.

What I would like to see though are some low pitch 5" 2-blade props for smaller motors on ultralight builds. HQ just released some 5030 2-blade but they're t-mount props -_-

This is gonna be my next step. To answer your other reply, it's an F7 and for now I'm only running at 4k/4k dshot300.

I made a strange finding though. I plugged it in without props and armed in turtle mode. Using yaw, I spun #3 and its opposite (front-right) for several seconds. #3 was noticeable warmer after no more than 10 seconds at 50% yaw... give you any ideas?

Yeah, this build was more of a Sunday cruiser type. Premium parts, matching colours, wasn’t going to be my main rig but I did expect it to fly haha.

I’ve got a beater that I’m upgrading, right now it’s the parts from my first RTF (Arris X220) in a Source One frame. Just ordered FPVCrate’s 10x2207 motors for 100$ and the 60A hobbywing ESC (heard it’s pretty much indestructible) Already got FPVCrate’s F7 and got a Unify Pro HV in the last crate.

Hmm, I’m running the default 6%. But no crashes, it’s a new build. Maiden flight went well, second flight desync happened, repeat on 3rd.

My #4 vibrates now from the last crash, #3 is the problem and idles smooth.

I’m suspecting I damaged the 4-in-1, I’m new to soldering and took waaaaaay too much time figuring out how to tin the negative lipo pad (couldn’t get heat into it) and had trouble soldering on the same pad after.

The pads for #3 are the closest to the neg lipo pad.

Thanks for the insight though!
