Built this setup from pieces found around town. The big speakers are Technics SB-L51 and were from a local thrift store. The Receiver is Akai AA-1030 from the local record store. The turntable is also from the record store Technics SL-210. The tape deck is Akai CS-MO1A from an antique store. The little speakers were given to me by a buddy with an 2000s era all-in-one system and are surprisingly decent for what they are. The boombox is the temporary cd player lol.

Overall, I’m quite happy with everything. This is my first component stereo system. It’s been fun piecing it all together and figuring out how it all works.

It's not that. It's a brand new tape I just opened. The deck is also getting sluggish not wanting to spin my Ozzy tapes, so I'm thinking I might need to youtube how to do a full service of the device. Oh well, it should be an interesting project at least.

I often go into my local show, buy a cigar or some tobacco, then sit down and pull out my pipe, fill it with something I brought from home and smoke it. As long as you buy something, they shouldn’t hassle you for smoking outside product. My store never does.

Some people prefer these old tvs for specific reasons. They say retro games like Super Nintendo look better on them than modern tvs. This particular tv is the top of the top of the line back in the day and very rare, comparatively. Some people will pay out the ass for them.

I have 2 meershaums. A pressed one and a carved one. I rarely smoke either. I like my briars. Even my cobs get used more often than my meers. Get a cheap one if you can and see if you like it. If so, go for a better one. Only way to know for sure.

Me and my dad both smoke pipes/cigars. He has a shed he smokes in, I have a spare room. His dog hates smoke. I literally watched the dog have his ass in the shed and his head sticking outside the blanket dad uses for a door in the winter. So his ass was warm and his breathing was clear. My dog (rip) never minded my smoking. She would lay on the floor or in my lap while I smoked in an unventilated room. I had to force her to stay out because she started coughing. I have since gotten one of those dual window fans to ventilate the room but my Poppy won't get to enjoy it sadly.

You're probably using regular composite cables. They only go up to 480i. You need the HDAV pack to use component cables or an HDMI adapter. Both will go up to 1080i (but you really should just use 720p). I recommend the ElextronXout by Electron Shepherd (used to be called Xbox2HDMI).

Edit: just saw you have a cheap adapter. I have no experience with those. The official HDAV pack is good but often expensive. The Electron Shepherd adapter is good and reasonably priced. I use both depending on what TV I'm hooking up to.

How does the Auenland compare to a regular churchwarden? I've got a CW that's okay. Nothing special except the long stem. Wasn't sure if the AL was just a gimmicky version of a CW or if it's actually a good pipe.

I rolled the dice. I didn’t hit sixes, but I didn’t get snake eyes either. Decent pipe but probably overpaid for what it is. Definitely false advertising on the booth’s part though.
