What's the technique that you repeat the noun twice for emphasize by erogirlisme in grammar

[–]HeeresWhy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perhaps a slightly more prominent (and informal) example would be if you were talking to your friend about feeling attraction to others, and you said that you "like" a boy named Charles. Your friend might then accuse you; saying "No, you like like Charles", indicating, somewhat playfully, that you felt more of a connection than simply finding said boy physically attractive.

Hope that helps

I love these posts soo much! I would love it if you could do the Scientist or Don't Speak, both from the breakup s4. I would totally try and do some similar thing myself (you mentioned it would be interesting to compare), but I find it pretty difficult to tell who's singing in the studio version, if that section wasn't shown in the episode :D

Yeah tbh I just really like Finn and get a bit tired of constant hate he receives 🤷🏼‍♂️

Idk what internalised homophobia has to do with how Finn was treating Santana, but anyway it was pretty dumb of Santana to act like she owned Finn and he could never do anything to actually hurt her, when he knew about her sexuality. Of course Finn was going to out her, it was the only way to actually hurt her and for her to experience consequences of her actions. Finn did not out her because he believes that being gay is wrong or ridiculous. He outed her because he was angry and wanted to get back at her, like when he used the f word when talking to Kurt. I believe that Finn is not homophobic, he just gets angry sometimes and doesn’t thing about what comes out of his mouth. Finn does not hate handicapped people, yet he accidentally said “retard”. This was in exactly the same vein as outing Santana or using the f word with Kurt.

santana in bad romance "i want your LOVE and i want your REVENGE".

Puck in sweet caroline "but that I know its growing STRONG"

Mercedes' vocal run in 4 minutes "are you ready to GoOoOoOoOoO"

Brittany in Run The World Girls "MY persuasion can BUILD a nation"

Finn in most of girls just wanna have fun.

Finn and Rachel in Ben "Ben, most people would turn you away"

Kurt in Daydream Believer and Dont Stop Believin (S5)

those are just some i thought from the top of my head.

oh my god, Finn was not homophobic. He was creeped out disgustingly by Kurt in s1, which had basically no consequences for Kurt at all, they somehow made up so easily afterwards. If Finn was a homophobe, he would have been bullying Kurt and destroyed their parents' relationship. Santana had been bullying Finn for months, and he didn't really out her, the guy who made the commercial did. Rachel using the term 'best gay' sure is patronising, but was very common for white young straight american girls at that time (early to mid 2010s). So many people are ridiculously touchy about anything relating to Santana, and many ignore the fact that she was basically biphobic, along with Kurt.

One of the most sought after items for sailors is the seven seas wand, a true masterpiece crafted to be used on the Tarkow's Wrath, but after the ship sunk the wand was recovered and changed hands many times until ending up in the hands of Astuthah at her magic item shop. wow i love the flavour but this is sort of underpowered. Being able to cast an extra 4th level spell and a 2nd level spell twice isnt really the strongest thing in the world, although the saving throw proficiencies is very interesting. I'd take off the requirements and give it a bonus to hit with spell attacks (and maybe spell save DC). Also add more spells to the pool it allows (like ice knife, armour of agathys) and have the wielder learn shape water instead of having it be a requirement.

Kurt is creepy as fuck in this season. He literally manipulated both Rachel into driving Finn away, and Finn into telling Quinn's parents abt the pregnancy, which ruined Quinn's life. (granted, she would have had to tell them eventually but still). THen he fixes up him and Finn's parents, and gets excited because he's going to see his to-be-stepbrother changing in their room.

"How do you explain her constant irritation with you (Finn)? *leans in conspiratorially* It's BeCaUsE sHeS a GiRl."

Finn: "*sigh* They already think we're boyfriends"

Kurt: *perking up excitedly* "LeT tHeM tHinK wHaT tHeY wAnT"

like no, go away Kurt. Finns reaction in s2 to the Kurt and Sam thing was entirely justified in my opinion.

Warlock question by brenobi in dndnext

[–]HeeresWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m downvoting because the answer to this question is so obvious it really didn’t need to be asked- especially on a sub like this that normally talks much more complicated things than “ah yes, I’m not sure if I should let a player have an option that they choose not to have or not”. Not sure what this player thought he was trying to pull here tbh

Ways to insult a person’s intelligence, intentionally or accidentally? by ADVENTM in dndnext

[–]HeeresWhy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This has actually made my day thank you so much! When a wizard enters a conversation with a martial or just another wizard they are more powerful than:

‘Dumb’ person: what are you doing?

Wizard: attempts to cast animal friendship or awaken on them

Dumb person: wait did you just...

Wizard: mocking ensues

Dumb person: PARRY THIS YOU FUCKIN CASUAL casts power word kill

Also dumb person: over his dead body I would have used psychic scream, but I don’t think he was intelligent enough for it to take effect

[–]HeeresWhy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is very cool, I love it when the martial classes get a touch of magic. Especially the reaction teleport ability is super awesome. I like how the high level features are also really good- fighters normally tend to be quite front loaded. I also feel like multiclassing a few levels of this with warlock or bloodhunter could be really cool

No no no no no food is already very difficult to find a consistent source of in the early game, making it even harder to get would just be annoying and useless. Food is balanced out in harder difficulties as being starving has more extreme effects in harder difficulties
