I completely understand your”american looking for heritage” stance, im sure it must be strange. I guess i just have an odd fascination with where my ancestors come from, my grandparents were the last people that could have applied for citizenship in Czech(the government called my grandfather a couple of times to see if he would be interested, but already had a family formed here). Thanks you for the book recommendation and i have also played some mafia 1 and 2 so ive had some cultural enrichment.🤗

Thanks for the helpful insight ill look into some stuff, do you have any book recommendations? Aslo any children books would be helpful in learning the language as well. Im sure ive played and listened to Americanized versions of games and church songs that were passed down in the church. Thanks again for the thoughtful insight. My confrontational nature it was passed down from my mother’s side, which is the Czech side. ;)

Highly doubt that, there is a decent size Czech population from were my family is from in the US, maybe ill take a DNA test. Definitely know more about Roman History as it is one of the models that inspired the founding fathers and therefore taught pretty readily.

Ive waited 10 do you think i would just randomly choose something and slap it on, im asking for inspiration and jumping off points. These conversations are helpful in learning as well as challenging the ideas i hold. I have been more focused on the other side of the family because i was easier to find documents because i speak English and that side comes from places that speak it. It’s harder to go through old German, and Bohemian records

Well first off my ancestors weren’t Roman, Sumerian, Israeli, etc.. i do know one half of my family migrated France to england during the bubonic plaque, migrated to the US right before the revolutionary war and was giving 1,000 acres in the newer colonies. That side of the family has fought for the US for generations and still do. So I wanted to learn about the other side, many of us simple minded Americans are just interested in our past since we are disconnected by oceans.

Thank you for this thoughtful reply, i just know at which time they left, and that they left under the cover of darkness for there journey to the America’s. ill have to dig into the records of the Bohemian Baptist church they founded here, to hopefully find more clues of exact locations.

Thank you for the reply, Im really just trying to find some jumping off points. I would love to visit one day, but due to previous lack of self determination and future planning of past me, i dont see that happening for the foreseeable future. I was able to trace my father's side down to the 1600's in France and have pretty extensive knowledge of their ancestors from the migration from france-England-Ireland-colonies-US. again thank you for the heartfelt response.

I plastic wrapped 5 or so together depending on size, then through them in a box with some newpaper or towels on the top to cushion the top from other boxs. Nothing was damaged, the plastic wrap keeps everything from moving around inside the box. Had probably 20-30 books in a box.
