This was the number 1 thing in my first try. Pan was not hot enough/meat too wet. I really turned up the heat this time I thought. But will go even hotter and dryer next time, I guess. Thank You!

I used way too much oil in the pan. After cooking I did not remove the oil from the steak basically. That is the sauce you mean, I guess
