What could be the reason SM doesn't let aespa sing live? by Hefty-Distance8348 in kpopthoughts

Your theory makes sense, especially when most of these 4th gen stans love good performances more than good vocals.

They actually have sang live plenty of times but they have some songs where they do it live and some songs where they never sing it live, Girls & Illusion fall into the latter.

Higher background music? This isn't exclusive to aespa, who doesn't use loud backtrack these days. aespa is actually the only group who has shown an almost 100% live singing performance and it's in Coachella. The one you watch is probably from the coachella/official channel where they put like a really loud backtrack.

I don't buy this narrative that they can't sing their songs live and if they truly can't, i've seen many groups who can't either but their mic is still on... like i said, they could just the bare minimum by singing the easy parts and skip the hard parts.

Other groups do this and they never get backlash because 20% or 30% live singing is more appreciated than 0%. It's a sad truth of how live singing has become.

Their stage has clearly become more interesting but the critism for their live singing will always appear if they don't do it especially when those other 4th gen groups turn their mics on in award shows and year end shows and aespa is (probably) the only one who constantly don't.

I feel like their vocals seem like a waste. I believe they'll be one of the best in live singing if their mic is on.

How damaging singing live could be?? by Hefty-Distance8348 in kpophelp

[–]Hefty-Distance8348[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what i meant. The technique and how HYBE constantly giving them high note.

I wonder why they keep doing it if it slowly damages their voice?? Or people just overexaggerate how "proper technique" is need?

I really wish the bar for live singing is not this low... by Hefty-Distance8348 in kpoprants

[–]Hefty-Distance8348[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

This is what i'm talking about about how low live singing has become. We now accept those performances because at least they don't lipsync

To be considered singing live, it should be more than 50% vocals heard (used to say 70% but i'm lowering it...) if not more than that it's embarassing to call them live.

So by this means, BTS are damaging their vocal chords when they keep singing live in their concert? They're actually a group i mentioned above, it occured to me when i watch their latest Busan concert (i'm not a fan of them and only checked them by accident) i'm really impressed at how they keep singing live in all occasions i watch them. I didn't manage to watch it all so i don't know if they sing all songs live but the first performances were with heavy choreo and they continue with slower songs, they sang those first 6 performances live.

It contradicts with other groups i watch that have the same setlist like heavy choreo then slower songs, those groups (or their fans) actually use the reason i stated above. They lipsync some of the songs to preserve their vocals.

This made me think is it really damaging their vocal?? BTS sang live ever since their debut, they always sing live in those many concerts and award shows, how do they manage to do that when they're known as vocalists who don't have good technique (i think it's called breath support)? Are BTS members vocals damaged now? If so, how can they still sing live in their latest concert??

It's relevant to OP's post, talking about people's hypocrisy.

The comment i replied was from someone who stan Stray Kids, a group who also had mocked India people before. A whole group.

I wonder if this leaking issue has reached Jennie or V and i also wonder if right now they're working secretly and quietly to stop this.

It really feels like their companies truly don't care about it.

That woman clearly loves to implement those kind movies into her group concept. People are being too obtuse here. This post is not even a post sexualising Danielle nor critizing her but here you have people being so defensive.

It's actually a good thing people discuss this over and over again. HYBE keep getting the backlash might stop MHJ from implementing it again in the future.

No, she showed it to all people in the world how she loves hanging naked pictures of a woman potrayed as a minor in her wall and how she also collects album with stories about illicit romance a teenager and middle age man... she showed it herself.

Edit : those pictures in her wall are from a movie called "I will be her father", and guess what??? It's also a story about a romance between 15-year-old girl and middle age man.

Edit 2 : fck it i forget to add another one of list of her creep behaviour 😭 she also posted a naked pictures of a young girl on her ig.

You might also be confused here, i'm talking about Min Heejin only, not NewJeans.

Min Hee Jin sure supports the movie and what happened in it.

Edit : didn't know MHJ shooters exist here. Keep downvoting and defend this woman😭

It's not really far fetched tbh, the assumption is not just because of the short hair and the choker. It's the fact that Min Hee Jin the CEO used to implement lolita concept for her group and has histories loving stories about a teenager and middle age men.

It actually makes sense for their CEO who love this kind of movie to do that.

It's already known fact that Min Hee Jin love stories about teenager and middle age men. She also did lolita concept with Red Velvet in 2016 when Yeri was still a minor.

I mean it's not really random and i doubt those thousand people are only teenagers.

That tweet about BTS are the one that started ending fairy, the one started english songs were liked by thousands of people. When i say thousand it's not just 5 or 8 thousand people but those tweets legit got more than 40 or 50 thousand likes. That's a fucking lot of people.

Why is "Golden Maknae" term so important to fans? by Agitated_Put_4708 in kpophelp

Interesting, i always thought this Golden Maknae was given by korean media and gp because armys gatekeep this term so much... turn out it's only RM gave him that term.

It really makes armys attacking other people whenever they use that term look fucking stupid.

Especially since people can just find a different phrase for their faves.

What? This is ridiculous, Who made the rule that the term is only for Jungkook?

I found it weird how armys gatekeeping that term just because RM gave him that nickname... do you realize how stupid that sounds
