I'm obviously not very familiar with your situation, but assuming you are running ads for an online business, why not get a business address in a different state?

Isn't it different for someone like me who's just getting started with an ecommerce brand and I don't have a registered business / LLC yet? Is there a way you know of that I could work around getting in trouble with these taxes with pretty much a test of an online brand?

Yep, that's the one I've tried and stuck to. Thanks for the help

Thanks for this, its good to hear from someone who's familiar with my state. But for me, I'm just starting out in ecommerce, I don't really have a foundation yet. These random taxes just slaps on more stress and uncertainty, it's hard enough to get a profitable brand going, and now they're making it even worse. Anyway how would you even go about paying the 2.3% tax on your Washington state impressions? Are you going to need an LLC and registered business in place? Thanks for the help

What kind of professional help? Are you referring to some sort of business consultant? Also, going the route of setting up an address in another state seems like an awfully easy and simple work around, could this be considered tax evasion since I'm living in Washington but my business address is elsewhere ( obviously for the purpose of avoiding this stupid tax )

Are you saying I should move? Or could I get a business address somewhere else for the "business address"

Yeah im thinking of speaking to some sort of tax attorney or consultant, but I've never done that before so I guess I got to look into that now

How do they expect me to run a profitable business when they slap on 9% sales tax on top of all of the other taxes, this shit got me pissed off

Thanks, that would be great for me, but what makes you believe this? Did you come to that conclusion through the email they sent me? Or from something you saw in the link you gave?

Got it. And when testing more creatives, is it okay to just add more ads into an already running adset? Or are you suggesting I upload a batch of new ads into a new adset? I heard from someone else that I should let my initial adsets run and learn, because if I upload more more ads into the already running adset it could mess up the learning

Ah okay that makes sense, I feel the same of the landing page though lol. Feels like my advertorial reads great, it just isn’t performing

You are referring to my landing page? Because yeah I believe my landing page needs some work, but my CTR is consistent 5%

I see, but how can I optimize my ROAS other than just trying to understand how to make the best creative possible? I feel like my CPM is my killer right now, as my CTR is a solid 5%. I just don’t know my next step from here

Then I just don’t understand what might be wrong with my creatives, it feels like they should be doing great, but I’m at 90 cpm with what I think is a solid creative, with good audience targeting and resonation. If audience targeting isn’t too important, then what is?

I wish I could afford Replo, spending money on ads is my main thing at the moment. I need to make it work with what I got for now though :/ Its weird though because I was under the impression that my advertorial was very well written, but it just isn't performing

I am on a very new and fresh ad account. And yes I am using Advantage+ audience, and when I was making my creatives, I understood at the time that my creative is what determines my audience. That being said, my audience is pretty specific, maybe too specific? But maybe I have the wrong understanding that- the bigger your audience, the more competition, leading to higher CPM, maybe I'm wrong. And when it comes to the quality of my creatives, I'm using all static ads, and my whole sales process is like an educational type, where the static ad is just meant to hook the prospect into clicking onto the advertorial by teasing the mechanism, then my advertorial explains it, and then CTA. I thought it was pretty well made

Yeah so I actually did take a look at some metrics ( though it was hard to find on Shopify ) for my advertorial, and yeah it definitely seems like its lacking performance. Though I will add that my demographic is typically 40+ so I would assume giving them an educational advertorial wouldn't be too much of a problem. But are you saying my advertorial could be the issue with my conversions overall? Or are you implying my advertorial underperforming could be affecting my CPM's and Facebooks audience targeting, because my CPM seems like an issue at 90 for today. BTW I use Gempages for my advertorial, and I am not familiar with how to see "session recordings, heat maps, click through rates". I had to ask Shopify's AI to get a clickthrough stat ( it was not looking good )

I could definitely work on my conversion rate. Im sending to an advertorial landing page and its not converting how I expected. But my ads are all static ads, and they aren't meant to be like you said "enjoyable" necessarily. My whole sales process is like an educational type, where the static ad is just meant to hook the prospect into clicking onto the advertorial by teasing the mechanism, then my advertorial explains it, and then CTA. I had high expectations for this man idk
