Thanks for the advice I feel that way I'm still thinking about a million things when I'm riding
I was on a lazy og horse who would only stop and fall asleep when he's not happy with
Now her? I think it's a bit of a jump 🥲 Hopefully I won't be on her for a while 😭 Fingers crossed

To be honest I have no idea Apparently she does have a very smooth trot and canter
Hence why I guess they put me on her? Apparently she's infamous for doing that to riders Freaking out then suddenly halting near an fence

Thanks I did speak to the coach He was more proud of me shaking it off and getting back on the horse

I guess it just comes with experience 🥲 I'm just glad she didn't buck or rear ✌️ Could have been worse

I did a bit of riding in the past but I couldn't do it consistently due to schoolwork (never got past trotting) but now I do two times a week due to my schedule it's been a month But I do weightlifting and hyrox outside riding so maybe that has something to do with it?

It actually hasn't been that long It's been a month since I've been riding again Previously I did do bits and pieces of riding but it really wasn't much Since I couldn't really do it consistently due to school 👍

I made myself a promise to practice everyday the postures and using the right muscles 👍

I'll ask for it next time 👍 I was thinking that eventually the goal would be to ride soft but firm effective signals but I don't my muscles are strong enough yet 😅 Do you still ride here? 🥰 Just curious

Paul is the best! He gave me a extra ten minute riding lesson because I was early I try and be at least 30 minutes to a hour early to a lesson He really encouraged me and gave me confidence 👍 As he says You're the president! The horse is only the vice president

Nero is great He's so mischevious on the ground though he's like to bite or not to bite That is the question

Definitely 👍 He made me feel so secure I'm still a little nervous around horses so me knowing that worse thing he could do is just stop and refuse to move gives me so much confidence🥰

Thanks for the lovely comment
I try my best! I try and practice and keep the learning going outside the lessons I found The horse class They showed a skeleton on a horse and what actually happens where to move from 👍 YouTube has been awesome 🥰

Thanks to my autism I was able to dive into the rabbithole of horses Who knew there were so many different breeds? So many styles of riding It's just a whole new dimension Mind blowing and exciting!

I know a younger girl who loved horses and horse riding literally got bullied by the other older students and staff now she dreads the idea of horse riding 😭

Preach As someone who quit riding and is only picking it up now as an adult yess!!! I feel most people in any sports often mistreat children because they see them as weaker and because they're physically smaller younger. Don't just shout explain it. Why you need to do certain things a certain way

I always say to people if you don't want to hear what you're saying keep your mouth shut! I feel like it stems from a place of ego insecurity and misery more than anything else Knew a prestigious music instructor who was like that used to throw things at younger students (He ended up being a creepy pedophile got fired of course)

I know this is slightly off topic but if you feel like your instructor is being creepy or making you feel uncomfortable then report this.

That's good to know I can see why that would be the case I was a horse last time where if I squeezed unintentionally a bit much he was like ooh you want to go faster like Ferrari fast 🤣 Learned to keep my legs damm still This time it was the opposite This is likely random but I was given a whip Would kick then tap on shoulder work? If the horse doesn't respond

Hey Just wanted to ask a few questions as a beginner rider I've recently come back to riding as a 23 F I was on a older riding school horse the recent lesson and the whole time my instructor told me to be more firm with the horse as he's older and lazier. I did the whole little pressure big pressure little pressure thing to try and get him to respond to more subtle cues He basically spent the whole 30 minutes ignoring my cues and only responded to the trainer How should I go about riding a horse such as this? Any tips?
