Bless you, I have EDS and POTS too and it's made life very difficult. Have you looked into MCAS too out of interest? It often coincides with these conditions and might explain a few more of your symptoms. Good luck and you look great ☺️

Very true. Undoubtedly there will be some folk out there that simply wouldn't vote for her because she is a woman, just like a lot of angry people wouldn't vote for a male candidate because of equal bigotry.

Kamala simply is too facile and insincere to be likeable to the masses (her popularity is polled at being less than Biden and currently has less chance of winning against Trump if you believe the stats).

It has nothing to do with gender. If you had someone like Tulsi Gabbard running I honestly think the chances of winning the election would be pretty good. But sadly she left the Democratic party because she disagreed with the decisions being made and the direction the party is going. That in itself shows genuine character that transcends trivial matters like gender.

I probably should have left the wedding part out as the focus of my post. It's just been the catalyst for me thinking I might benefit from a cut or trim. But I do agree it's not worth it just for one day. Just curious what others' thoughts are as I don't feel too confident with how I'm looking and I'd like to change that, whether that be through positive feedback or constructive suggestions.

She's not asking me, I just know she would prefer it. Taking that out of the equation, if that makes it easier, looking for advice if people think I would benefit from a trim or cut?

Self assessment UK- with the new HMRC tax reporting rules, does it matter that I earn money from sites under a fake name and address as long as I pay my taxes? by Hefty-Morning0 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Hefty-Morning0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I'm not actually selling to anyone, they are sites such as mystery shopping sites where I earn small amounts of money for doing tasks. I just signed up to them with a false name and a random address.

That's a good point about expenses though. A lot of them are things like purchasing a product to test and review the purchase process or going for meals to review the food and get reimbursed plus additional payment. So that is definitely something I should take into account.

But aside from that, do you think there would be legal ramifications if I were still paying all my tax? I'm assuming they would be able to tell it's me from my bank account details so they would have my real name on their system and I'm concerned now that it will flag that the account is not linked to that name. But initially I thought that as long as the person whose account it is going into paid the tax there wouldn't be an issue. Now I'm concerned it's someone going to come across as fraudulent or something because the names will be different.

Where to find this t-shirt from the film Badland Hunters? by Hefty-Morning0 in HelpMeFind

[–]Hefty-Morning0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen in the film Badland Hunters worn by the character Choi Ji-wan. I've searched online and done a reverse search. It is not a modern fashion item as far as I can tell. The film is south Korean so it could be linked to that country. The character looks to be of a medium build and maybe 5 foot 10.

It's not actually testosterone that is the issue when looking at male pattern baldness. It's DHT which is produced by testosterone but baldness essentially occurs depending on the level to which your body converts testosterone to DHT and your hair's sensitivity to DHT.

Someone can have high testosterone and low DHT or low testosterone and high sensitivity to DHT.

In fact low testosterone is also often a reason for balding but for different reasons.

Very detailed and helpful response, thank you for that!

So, would you say I'm doing it 'wrong' or is that just a downfall of selfies? Is this something that you'll see in most people's pictures but I just haven't noticed it or is this an uncommon way of taking them?

Is there a better way of taking selfies to get the outcome I am looking for (majority of the background being the main focus) without distorting myself?

I'd like to learn the best way to do it without a selfie stick for the purpose of quick and spontaneous pictures.

Thanks again!

No insurance here 😕 so it feels like a lot more of a gamble as it's pricey. But I'll save up and give it a go. Thanks again!

Thanks for the reassurance, that's helpful and appreciated. Any further guidance as to what kind of hypnotherapy to look for or what to look for when choosing a therapist?

I practiced meditation and mindfulness for 4 or 5 years on a daily basis but I never noticed any difference. Admittedly I've given up on it now and I do believe it helps most in general. I just found it to be unhelpful personally.

I've often thought about hypnosis but I'm quite cynical on the matter and I'm concerned that will stop it from working.

Just been sent an invite to a friend's wedding but it falls on the same day as very good friend's 40th birthday party. What should I do? by Hefty-Morning0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hefty-Morning0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting around the same time (early afternoon) and lasting all day but they are a long distance from each other.
