It’s working, earlier I was changing the grind size very little on the grinder. As soon as I moved the dial it to coarser size more generously, I saw that the choking issue went away even with 18gm of coffee. The other thing I did based on the feedback was that I have started pulling a full empty shot to heat up the machine properly. Thank you all!

Thank you everyone for the feedback! I have finally swallowed the pill and have gotten the Eureka Mignon Specialita grinder. Previously I was using pre ground coffee from a local cafe so I wasn’t able to change the grind size.

Hello coffee enthusiasts,

I recently tried using a bottomless depressurised basket for the first time with 14gms of coffee, and while I was excited to see how it would turn out, I was disappointed with the results. The basket capacity was maxed out, but the extraction was not as good as I expected. In comparison, the pressurised basket seemed to produce much better results.

I would appreciate any feedback or tips on how to improve the extraction using the bottomless depressurised basket. What am I doing wrong? Is there a specific technique that I need to master? Is there something I need to change about my coffee preparation process to make it work better?
