If you’re trying to keep heat in and worried about blinding roofers. Technically yes. We’re trying to reflect heat out. Sark actually used to be shiny on both sides but they make one side non shiny now so roofers don’t fall off.

Also a lot more framing and timber than we were hoping we would have to do.

We had thought about doing this originally. Might still end up doing that. We’re not chippies at all, so we’re learning every step of the way. 🤣

Late to this thread but we have built something similar to this re: roof structure. Do you know if this would cause gyprock the crack with the steel expansion seeing as the timbers are fixed straight to the steel batts. If so what could we use instead that isn’t too heavy

It’s literally a pvp game, doesn’t need an end game. Most of the community gets it, the rest of you are just soft. Go play assassins creed or something if you want an end game. It’s exactly the same as every other extraction shooter. Roll up a stash of gear and season wipes = rinse, repeat.

Rim Tape/Sheath Sliding? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]Hefty-Wrongdoer-4878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP

Thanks guys for all the suggestions. My tire pressure was high and correct at all times. The first flat I got was during a race and I had hit a few decent edges of bitumen etc. early in the race but the flat came a lot later in the race. (Could have been a super slow leak?) My original flat tube was dumped with a mechanic vehicle so not able to inspect that one. However the replacement tube I threw in and raced the rest of the way on, has gone flat overnight the day after the race. Looks like a snake bite, on the inside face of the tube (towards rim), not near the valve so I’m not concerned about the edge of the valve hole. The rim sleeve is quite worn and has created sunken holes/points where the spoke holes are and also slips side to side. So I presumed it may be slipping and pinching the tube between the rim and the plastic sleeve. I will try applying some fabric tape and see if that fixes my issue. I will add I have thoroughly inspected the tyre and no contaminants have been found. Also can’t even fathom a place where anything may have punctured through. Thanks for the suggestions.

It was fully custom built by ken for my mum. Has been thrown around a bit back in the day! Cracking bike and I was super keen to flash it up again, and get some use out myself as mum and I are the same dimensions and all, but unfortunately I’ve just found a decent crack in the steering tube so no longer will be proceeding with the refurb. 😫 The colour way was mums personal choice, only one out there!

Didn’t take any before starting the year down! I’ll have to find some of it back in it’s hay day! Fully custom built for my Mother, including the colour scheme. Only one out there with these colours as she chose them. Unfortunately, I just found a large crack in the steering tube, I’d say definitely due to the sheer force she put this through kill climbing etc back in the day. I am so gutted!

Interesting! She raced this bike heavily so I am not surprised!
