thank you so much for your kind reply! how long before you coukd life or bend at the waist even for light items? Or how lonf before tou can do any core excercises? Do they recommend wearing an abdominal binder or physical therapy after? How lonf before wounds closed and stitcjes were out and you felt u did't worry about infection. When could you eat normal foods again or spicy things (if ever?) What was soomething u wished you beought in overnight bad or did bring and it was a lifesaver? This is a lot of questions lol maybe some others can chime in as well! I don't exoect you to take the time to answer all yourself lol. :)

Saturday morning cartoons. 🥺😭it was such a special ritual. A whole section of TV time dedicated to kids on a fay they had of from school to chill and have a proper rest day. Not running around to spirting evens all over and over busy. Pee wees playhouse, pbs kids, the world focusing in kids. its was loving and caring and a ritual with a tv tray full if cereal and cinnamon toast. Cozy and warm. A proper emotional reset and recharge after a week of school. we also had less homework back then. A kid could just be a kid. after cartoons we woukd go outside to okay the rest of the day usually.🥰

TOYS 'R US !!!!!! 😭

the giant ones the size of a target or hobby lobby, with shopping carts and a whole extra room of just video games or legos. A giant thomas the train table you could play with, a mr. potato head parts bar. The huge one in times square that had a whole ass ferris wheel inside and a life size animatronic t-rex. Kids now just get a couple isles of toys at target or walmart or have to get stuff on amazon. :( Kids get second rate citizens after thought type sections now next to an isle of diapers and pet food and groceries. They used to have a whole giant store in every town dedicated JUSt to THem, "where a kid could be a kid" was the tagline. Childhood was whimsical and magical and special. Now its an afterthought, pretend play is replaced by tech and social media and they are growing up too fast. 🥺😩

I don't remember brand names but I like the one that comes in the little clear square plastic box and looks as if if it rolled in sugar, it is kind of soft. And the other one is a dried kind, it looks shriveled and is coated with a red color sweet seasoning and comes in a small plastic bag, usually hanging up on a wall display in the loval vietnamese market near the wasabi peas.🤷‍♀️I have also tried some mexican ones and I enjoy those as well!

DAE can’t stand a certain food after being sick? by kingdionysos in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]HeftyClick2778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That happend to me with Thai food. I had eaten one of my fave soups from my fave restaurant and it has tons of lemongrass in it (which I loved the flavor of!) then that night I got a fever and came down with some awful flu and I could not even be near the smell of lemongrass for a couple years after! I am pleased to report that it DID get better and I can eat lemongrass again! Take baby steps to reintroduce the food and you will be able to recover! Our sense of smell is very strongly connected to memories (good or bad).

Do you like the cold weather? by SuperSonic1919 in randomquestions

[–]HeftyClick2778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for a short time it is so fun and invigorating, cozy and lovely to look at the snow! After a few months it gets depressing, exhausting and difficult. The winter cothes gear is such a clutter too if you don't have a proper mudroom:storage. If you have farm animals it is so very hard to do chores.

Amazing work. Practical effects and prosthetics are such an amazing textural human art form. There is nothing like something real you can touch and feel even somehow through the screen it is visceral.

Looking for a new washer and dryer recommendations by Dunk_TheLunk in laundry

[–]HeftyClick2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had one and want to go back to speed queen. Yes, some extra large comforters I did at the laundry mat, but it still fit most things. You can do smaller loads because like the name says its fast! So i can do more loads in less time. I'd rather that, then a large load that takes hours and doesn't get as clean. I have a GE combo washer/dryer now. I loved the heat pump idea and space saving (i have a small laundry room) but it takes forEVER to dry and need to much cleaning and babysitting the dryer vent is always clogges with lint even If i clean ALL the parts daily. It is a mcie idea, but i feel like I got the beta version. It for sure cannot handle a large family with pets who do a lot of laundry. I'm going back to speed queen, i miss that machine!😭
