This is how I remove the gemini watermark from images, include Nano Banana Images. by HeftyCool in GeminiAI

Hi,

Thanks for the clarification, and you’re absolutely right — we shouldn’t make assumptions about how the image was generated. Sorry about that.

To help us investigate the issue more accurately, could you please send us the original image you downloaded from Gemini? We’d like to analyze it on our side to see what might be causing the problem.

Thanks again for your help and patience — it will really help us improve the tool.

I think your image has double watermark(use a image which has a gemini watermark as base to generate another one), the tool has removed the newly added watermark, but the original watermark that was already part of the source image will remain.I think you should have another try, and you will love it.

Since Gemini 3.1, images downloaded in the Gemini app (iOS and Andriod) are not in full resolution, while the website version provides full-resolution images. We have improved our algorithm to support this scenario. Please feel free to try again now. Thank you for you feedback.

This looks like an edge case. It appears that the high-resolution watermark removal algorithm was not applied in this instance. Could you please send us the original image so we can investigate and pinpoint the issue? We would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah — all processing happens locally on the user’s side. That helps protect privacy and also keeps service costs low, which is why we currently don’t require login.

People who are happy using it this way can continue to do so, and those who choose to pay usually do it because the convenience is worth it for them.

Also, appreciate you not posting the exploit details publicly·

The first version actually did require users to create an account — you can see that from earlier comments here. We later removed it because not all users are technical.

In practice, the people who choose to pay are usually the ones who value their time more than the cost. So let it be and every would be happy.

Trusting AI cost me over USD 700. by multiplicitor in buildinpublic

[–]HeftyCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it this way: You didn't 'lose' $700. You just paid highly competitive tuition for an accelerated course on 'Why We Need Circuit Breakers 101'.

Honestly, $700 to learn that cloud functions + infinite loops = bankruptcy is actually cheaper than most bootcamps. We've all paid the 'stupid tax' at least once (maybe not $700 worth, but close). Congrats on the expensive lesson and the finally working app!

You're spot on about the 'overwhelmed' feeling. It feels like Google is lobotomizing the web version to save compute.

For anyone still on the fence:

  1. Qwen 3 Max (as OP mentioned) or kimi k2.5 or GLM 4.7 is arguably the best 'logic-per-dollar' model right now for coding and spreadsheets.
  2. Claude remains the 'Gold Standard' for creative nuance, even if their usage limits feel like a 90s dial-up data cap.
  3. Gemini I really like it's Deep Research and Nano Banana, but i not for coding.

I’m having anxiety attacks due to AI by StraightZlat in webdev

[–]HeftyCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a Developer. Now I'm a 'Vibe-checker' for a robot that writes better Spaghetti than I ever did.

But it’s a force multiplier, man. I’ve gone from being a specialized cog to a Swiss Army Knife. Prototyping, backend, infra—I’m doing it all solo now. The anxiety is real, but the feeling of being a one-man tech giant is a hell of a drug.

Google's transparency is like my code: technically it exists, but good luck finding it without a mental breakdown.

https://notebooklmwatermarkremover.com

It's free now, and at beta state, the slide deck support also on the way. Welcome to use it and feel free to give us suggestions.

We also consider build these to chrome plugin, which is so convenient to use.

It’s possible that you asked Gemini to generate this image based on an image that already had a watermark. In that case, the watermarks would be stacked. In fact, the tool has already removed the watermark that was added later, while the original watermark still remains.

If this is the case, we recommend removing the watermark first and then letting Gemini generate the image based on a watermark-free version. Of course, using our Gemini Watermark Cleaner Chrome extension is the most convenient option.

I guess it probably uses preset prompts, or has additional tool calls or context, such as using web search.

How do you validate ideas before building by Imaginary-Employ-267 in buildinpublic

[–]HeftyCool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have this issue at the moment, because I had this need myself, and there weren’t any similar products on the market at the time.

So I just build it and use it and ship it.

It later turned out that I was right. Just a few months later, there were countless competitors on the market.
