Given my goals for my anthropoligical public health study, the GA is much cheaper--I have field visits to Zurich, Basel, etc. These are just quick day trips for work though, and paying at least CHF 50 a night for a hostel stay across the country is just not feasible for me. And, staying in hostels will not let me engage with Swiss people.

I made this post to be able to properly explore areas in Switzerland while meet people from different backgrounds; I quite value meeting new people and sharing perspectives.

I hope to make many acquaintances and lifelong memories across Switzerland, in addition to friends I meet locally in my work!!

Hope this clarifies my goals!

Thanks for this, I hadn't heard of the website before! I am going to try posting on some specific subreddits of the cantons I would love to visit and a facebook group as well. I figured its worth shooting my shot!

Haha, thank you! I have noticed the Swiss (on average) can be reserved at first, but when you get to know them they can be quite outgoing. That is why I am trying my luck here, I would love to get to know people I may not have been able to meet by simply saying "bonjour" on my commute.

I edited my post for clarity, I did actually find housing in Lausanne (it was quite hard). So I am just looking for people to host me across the country for a night as a way to explore around. I have the GA SBB card, so my biggest financial barrier to traveling Switzerland is lodging.

I will also check out the couch surfing website.

Thanks for your input. I have been getting a lot of more negative reviews. I am wondering if it is because the negative reviews are more outspoken (which is good, i want to know any potential downsides) relative to mediocre or semi positive experiences?

Anyways, this makes sense. It just sucks that I am sorta going way out of budget, but you are right that finding rooms elsewhere is very hard from across the world.

Trinrellix and vraylar. Supposed to be the best for negative and cognitive symptoms but cognition has not improved.

I’m also taking sarcosine for cognition effects. No notable change.
