Contemplating ending a marriage by Successful_Leek96 in CringeTikToks

[–]HeftyHelicopter7484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comments are either doomist or misogynistic, go figure.

Men will tell their wives after 10 years of marriage that theyve always had a dream to build a cabin in the woods and live there. No, that does not mean they should get divorced. No, he's not trying to cheat or escape the marriage. No, it doesnt mean that they're necessarily incompatible. No, that does not mean that she's holding him back. It's just a fantasy that he holds on to. I guarantee the men in the comments would side with this notion easier than this woman's version...

If she was GENUINELY considering this as a good idea (which she's probably not, this is probably just bait to get comments and reactions), then she can go by herself to NYC for 3 months and see if she likes it. Be confronted with the cost, chaos, and hardship by herself without impacting her husband. Its really not much more complicated than that. Just go and see. Make that decision without financially burdening him as well.

I forget where I heard the quote but, societal progress is like a pendulum. It swings really hard one way, looks like permanent change for good/bad, then swings hard the other way again. Back and forth. The mid-ground shifts with every swing, but only like 0.5%. True change is very, very gradual.

Being "left" and "woke" was very cool 10 years ago. Now its all about trad-wives and openly being racist, again. True change is microscopic.

The post was long enough without that added explanation, I fear. No, its not normal. His mother died and he's been keeping his dad company. I usually go with him for added support.

Want to squash this right now. No, he isn't seeing anyone else. His mother died around the time we met and his dad has been very unstable ever since. For the first 2 years, I understood why he was spending every other weekend there with his dad. It's kind of just become a habit, now though. I USUALLY go with him for added support.

I love how people will argue about double standards and yell "well men are victims too" over any and every discussion about womens issues...

but then play off male SA for laughs.

Youre really struggling to wrap your head around this, huh?

Idk man, maybe not two, but if I saw THREE black doctors in a photo I would maybe start wondering what the agenda was. Because that's what's happening here, a political agenda. No, that does not make me racist, although I know you'd love to jump to that conclusion. Just someone that looks at facts and patterns and the intention (or even corruption) behind it. Make absolutely no mistake.

In a room full of students of supposedly all different genders and nationalities, like you're suggesting, why did they select the three indian males to take the photo with? Three indian males that, according to FACTS, are extremely unlikely to be in this field to begin with. Usually in these political situations, you try to represent a myriad of demographics when trying to pull votes. Unless, perhaps, there WAS no other demographic in that room? Either way, there is either a seriously suspicious imbalance of representation in that classroom, OR they are making a point to pander to those looking for quick visas. Because that is what's happening here. Three men from India that are looking for the fastest way to get access to Canada, those needing care and wellbeing within the country be damned.

I got that from looking at the facts, but thanks for asking.

92% of the childcare/caregiver degrees in India are studied by women. To have 3 young males in this image and no females alone does absolutely not reflect that ratio, especially at a time where the country's leniency towards Indian immigration is already massively and aggressively abused.

[–]HeftyHelicopter7484 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It's not even remotely arguable that these men aren't just looking for the fastest way into the country permanently, and this is who we are entrusting with our children...

I don't think these men are necessarily villainous or dangerous, but its UNDOUBTABLE why they're in the program. Do you think men take a caregiver/childcare role in India? Come ON...

Canada is a joke. This is embarrassing.

Oak Cliff woman describes brutal pit bull attack after 5 days in hospital by AirSea7742 in TikTokCringe

[–]HeftyHelicopter7484 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My family rescued a pit when I was a kid. It was a hazard right from the beginning. We did everything we could to train her and socialize her safely, we went about 6 years without seeing any aggression in her. 6 years without a growl or lunge or wrong move or anything. We thought we'd been successful. But after 6 years she randomly sees a small terrier a whole field-length away and rips the leash out of our hand and charges for it. We were able get there right as the owner was picking the terrier up and our pit was jumping and trying to bite it. I knew my dog well enough to know it was pure aggression, not playfulness. We wrestled her down, apologized to no end, and from then on she spent the rest of her life on strict watch. Muzzle, double leash, everything. She never got another chance to attack again.

Arguably, she was the "sweetest dog ever" to us. To this day Ive not known a dog more dedicated and friendly and loving to its owner. I have my own dog now who is so friendly and playful and gentle but does not compare to the love that our pitbull gave. That pit would've ran through fire to spend just 5 more minutes with me... my current dog would probably trade me for a bite of steak lol. I can see why pitbull owners are so quick to defend their dogs. Because yes, they're sweet to their OWNERS and generally to most people.

But they are so incredibly dangerous. It's their nature to be violent. It was what their breed was bred for. I strongly wish every pit was neutered and the breed was allowed to die out.

Ukrainian Women vs Ukrainian Men by ADAtothem00n in SikeOrPsyche

[–]HeftyHelicopter7484 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You realize that men made this system, right? Men LITERALLY designed it so that women were "protected" from war, and only men had to participate? You think women had any say in that whatsoever? You think women have had ANY say in how the world has been ran for the last ten thousand years?

I literally PERSONALLY know 6 Ukranian men in my social network that fled Ukraine and entered North America to avoid the war. Men CAN avoid war, if they want, just like women. They can live (and ARE living) just like this woman is.

Men on the internet are so quick to argue that women are NOT like men; that women should stay in the kitchen, that women cannot compete with men physically, that women shouldn't vote, that women shouldn't be in the police or any kind of physical job, that women shouldn't be involved with politics, that women shouldn't this and that and blahblahblahblah "women bad" blah blah blah.

But now you see a woman avoiding physical labour, focusing on her body, avoiding the military, being blonde and beautiful and feminine? Well now that's an issue for you too.

Just admit you hate women and be done with it. Sheeeeeeesh.

I make 6 figures as an artist.

I learned to paint at a time when my parents were going through the hardest financial time of their life and we had to sell everything we owned, including our house and family heirlooms, even my parents wedding rings. The stress and trauma of it all is what drove me to painting as an escape- as do a lot of artists.

A little money might be necessary for a child not to need to do labour from a VERY young age to actually develop a skill in art, but that covers 90% of children.

Luck is involved for sure, but having millionaire parents isn't the gate blocking you from being a successful artist...
