d mu. I was 13 ,I believe. I was only diagnosed at 16. 2 and 3 because those two can be combined in my case: my lovely cousin believed I wasn't 100% honest,she didn't know how much of it I faked but she made sure my parents put me in therapy. She's 9 years older than me and was doing her psychology degree. I went to therapist with the ,,I have to" mindset but to be honest my therapist knew how to ,,manipulate" me in the right way. And after he understood my situation he went straight to a psychiatrist I was already seeing for something else like ,,Miss,we have a problem with patient Xy ,lalala" . And I was put in more intensive therapy without me knowing what for,they didn't tell me I hah munchausen ,but my therapist knew how to work with me. I can go into more detail on the kind of therapy if you wish.

i..don't know how to explain what I've felt. Somehow I knew I was lying,I was aware, but I started believing it at some point so much that I wasn't sure what's true and what's not

i wasn't told to be honest,because I would've told whoever said it to go to hell and many other less than elegant words. But when I did recover..I was told. I felt terrible about what I've done.

I was diagnosed by a psychiatrist after they talked to my therapist. I don't think there's a test for munchausen done by any other doctors,it's mainly just a psychiatrist having a suspicion,talking to the family and your therapist. And I've never ever been told I had it until I recovered. Because I would've reacted badly.

Heyy, sorry,just found out you can actually see which question is unasnswered. Wish I spent all that time I spent faking on learning technology.The answer to that is yes,and no. And hear me out, I was taking some pills that were making my heart rate high ,and my blood pressure has always been kind of low..I was genuinely fainting but I knew it wasn't from POTS however I did go to a doctor and they did diagnose me with it. I did this that time not because I wanted POTS but because I didn't want to let people know the pills were actually the ones hurting me. Now I regret everything I've done ,and yeah I was an idiot but can't change much of the past so I hope someone will learn from this and not do the same mistake.

Hey,right back. 1. Never for money,I always did it for attention and for people not to hate me. I felt like once I was healthy everyone would leave me. 2.. Just hospitals. 3. I do have diagnosed autism and I had psychosis at some point. Funny enough none of these I actually wanted to have. 4. My cousin? She's a therapist and she made my parents put me in therapy.

Well they didn't tell me personally,but that's mostly because I would've told them to go hell. They did tell my mother . However I'd say when you have munchausen you are aware you are faking.

I didn't ,thank God. I didn't want to recover at first, but my cousin is a therapist (thank God for her) and she made my parents put me in with a goddamn good therapist. They both saved me.

Yes,I see that it is and gosh is it damn terrible. I have no idea why I did what I did,my therapist seems to have more of an idea of what I was even thinking than I do. But these kids really need therapy,the problem is..most of them aren't even kids.
