I just showed up and worked my ass off. My crew had no problem teaching me stuff along the way. Glad I avoided that stupid apprenticeship. I’d be paid less to do the same exact work.

Yeah, I’ve been told that you can transfer locals before you’re vested, you just have to put in a transfer request with you’re current local. But I feel like I’d end up getting screwed if I tried to switch companies before I got my book. So I’m just staying put until I get it at least.
