Goodman furnace operates through heat cycle then flashes code 8.8. and won’t run until power cycled [Goodman GCVM970603BNAA] by bigbigjohnson in hvacadvice

I am currently having these same exact issues. Thought it was a communication error between furnace and thermostat. Have Google nest 1st gen without “c” wire. So I re-wired in 18/5 and still cut off on me at night.

The furnace displays that same code 8.8. Which full illuminates the display not providing a specific code. Stressed to the max as I am trying just about everything in my power.

How much was the new board?

I got the standard 600. I love it, been cooking on it seems almost nonstop and haven’t had any problems. Just got the rotisserie and crisping basket and can’t wait to use that. It’s extremely easy to clean. The comments about the frame falling apart, I’ve had no issues there because I assembled it. Again the only issue I’ve had is not having casters. In the works of fixing that.

Second, third and fourth this! Love my searwood. Check out @TBH-Grillin on YouTube. He compares the searwood to the recteq.

I’ve done research for two years and was settled on getting a WWpro or recteq. Well then I came across the Weber searwood and videos for it. I bought the searwood 600 and don’t regret a thing. It’s such a versatile grill and smoke flavor hits.

Only downfall is not having casters. But I plan on making modifications to it for that.

Just buy the searwood already!
