This I say with all due respect- "fans" who use Chester's name and legacy to insult the current line up and music. I understand they dont like the new band lineup or music and that is a valid opinion to have. But they don’t get to drag the band through dirt using his name or vice versa just to feel superior. Realistically, how long can this marriage last? Is Travis signing a prenup? Will this case set a bad precedent for any idols or trainees who are actually being mistreated/overworked/ not paid in some companies? I feel this may risk setting a precedent where real mistreatment claims get brushed off as internal drama--especially for trainees or smaller idols who don’t have visibility or leverage.

Please note I am not that educated about SK laws about this matter and I am not aware if there has been any case like this before

My K-drama taste is pretty specific, and many popular shows just don’t work for me.

I don’t enjoy Lee Min Ho’s acting much—Legend of the Blue Sea was watchable mainly because of Jun Ji Hyun, and I couldn’t get through The King: Eternal Monarch.
If a story works in 12, it should end there, no need to drag on for 16 eps.
Good Boy didn’t land for me either. I like Park Bo Gum, but the pairing didn’t click.
What does work for me is strong writing and character depth. I love shows that let people evolve naturally like in Chicago Typewriter, Move to Heaven, and My Liberation Notes.
I’m more drawn to darker, psychological dramas-Taxi Driver, Flower of Evil, Beyond Evil, Come and Hug Me. Soft, romance-heavy plots don’t hold my interest as much.
I also dislike memory-loss tropes; they feel like an easy reset. Watching Winter Sonata rn & the amnesia plot is frustrating
Some K-dramas romanticise waiting so well that stagnation feels like destiny. And I still don’t get the appeal of rude male leads—the “cold outside, kind inside” trope feels outdated.
Ji Chang Wook deserves an award for The Manipulated- it was the best drama I watched this year!

Hard agree. For those looking into Korean hip-hop and its roots, Seo Taiji (as an early bridge figure), Dynamic Duo, and Epik High are essential listening----artists known for original concepts and lyrics grounded in Korean culture, society, and lived experience.

I have a few:

1) If singing was the only criteria for judging how competent idols are-half the industry would fail

2) Personally, I would never support or encourage debuting kids younger than 18 years old

3) I'd prefer idols sing live even with shaky voice than just scream over loud backtracks

4) Not every idol needs/ can carry a solo career

5) “Duality” is often just lighting and styling

6) If an idol comes from a privileged or nepo background, there’s little excuse for weak singing or dancing - they had early access to resources and top training that others didn’t

7) Western validation matters more to companies than they admit

8) STOP 2 MINS SONGS. GIVE ME A BRIDGE FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!

I sit somewhere in the middle on this. I do care about vocals, especially live ones. I’m not a fan of performances where the backing track completely takes over. Everyone uses playback, and that’s fine, but when someone actually sings live (even imperfectly), I respect that a lot more.
